When I have encountered situations similar to this I have always answered either yes, or no, and put a detailed explanation of the situation with as many details as possible in a narrative box as possible explaining the situation with what happened, what was said to me by an employee, and as many details as possible. This is usually what schedulers tell you to do anyway. I hope this helps.

I have shopped this same chain many times and have never had an issue like this. That being said, I know that each one is independently owned and they are franchised. I hope this gets the owners attention. It often seems also that you can go to a store or restaurant many times with no issue, but as soon as you go in as a secret shopper is when the issue occurs. Murphey's law!

I never do the scavenger hunts on any apps. They take too long and you can find the UPC codes.

I have done many gas station revealed shops and audits. I do not mind them at all. The only thing I hate is when the manager or other employee gets anxious and makes you wait while they call a higher up. I always have to explain this does not require me to see records or anything of a personal nature, but they get paranoid. I had several ask if it will damage them in any way if they say no, some have asked if I can return when a manager is on duty, and one lady started crying!

I started doing mystery shopping about a year ago, then my husband started doing some as well. We take vacations and along our routes often do some shops that are fun. We have done amusement parks, mini golf, art exhibits, casinos, and yes, this Summer we did four in New Orleans for two bars, and two strip clubs! They pay well. They reimbursed us for drinks, entry, dances, tips, and VIP area. They tend to be available in bigger cities. I have seen several strip club and adult shop mystery shops. They are definitely for those who are not shy. Business is business, so all businesses should be prepared for a secret shop, not just the A typical businesses. I find these to be fun.

In Nevada you have to have a special type of PI license to do mystery shopping. That is why you can do a search on most MS sites for Nevada and never find any.

Hello everyone. I am new, to the forum mainly, but not so new to the site or secret shopping. I have been doing this now for almost a year and enjoy it quite a bit. Just wanted to say hi to my fellow secret shoppers. Just wondering what are your favorite shops to do, IE restaurants, retail, automotive etc, and how did you get into mystery shopping?

My faves are gas stations/convenience stores and amusement and entertainment, and I started doing this after looking for side hustles online that had flexible scheduling or work from home. I have guardianship of my Autistic grandson and needed easier flexible scheduling since I take him to therapies four days a week at various times. So far I am enjoying it, I just wish there was more available in my tiny town in the middle of no where!

The number and type of jobs is all about location, location, location! I live in a very rural area in northern NM, my town has about 43,000 people, and the whole county only 75,000! I am able to go an hour or so into CO to do shops, and also 2 or so hours into AZ and UT. I found that the more sites you sign up with, and complete their certifications, the better the opportunities you will get.

Expect some to take up to 4 weeks, and some a few days. It depends mainly on the payment schedule of the company you are doing it for. Some companies pay out every two weeks, and some only once a month. Look at your contract for the job or on the companies website FAQ pages.

The courses for ISS are solely for ISS, they are for the company's purposes only, just like the courses and certifications through other secret shopping service companies. Mystery Shoppers of the Americas is similar to a governing agency, though not as strict, like nursing boards or the bar, again not as strict or official since you can mystery shop whether or not you are a member. The main difference is that one is recognized by clients and the other is more of an internal thing.
