Hey Alecia!
Welcome to ISS.
I have been with this group for about a year. The best advice that I can give is to keep a spreadsheet, similar to the one that ISS provides for payments, to keep track of your jobs. The trick is to keep it up to date. It's the easiest way that I found to monitor my jobs and the payments, especially since I deal with several different companies.
There is no hard, fast rule for asking for bonuses. It's a combination of what you feel your time is worth and what you think the company will pay. You have to remember that they are in the business to make money, so any bonus comes out of their profit. I haven't had any problems, but then I keep my requests relatively low. I don't do very many shops per month and try to group them all geographically to make the most of my time. For some that live in more rural areas that may not be a choice.
Good luck.
I know the feeling. I goofed up big time myself.
I was assigned a fast food shop near my home and went there with the intent of having lunch and completing the report. Imagine my surprise when I checked the receipt and saw the wrong address!!! The place I was looking for was about 1/4 mile farther down. I just wasted not only my time and money, but my appetite as well. Now I had to hustle to get to the correct spot within the time frame.
I made it, but had to force myself to order a second lunch and taste it to complete the shop. I probably could have cancelled, but I have a good rep with the company and didn't want to ruin it.
I'm glad I never had that problem. At my age I would look like a dirty old man walking in there.
Welcome Mandy.
I used to live in the Inland Empire before moving out to the wild and wooly west. I'm out here in Texas now, but I did some shopping in Cali.
I'm partial to restaurant shops and big box store shops. I have had a lot of fun with these.
O. K. I quit! There is absolutely no way I could do that many shops in one day. Besides the driving and phone calls that is a whole lot of reports to write. Kudos to both of you!
I have noticed that as well. I made a killing in February but March has almost come to a screeching halt. I sure hope they pick up next month.
