Hi,
I was just wondering if any of you have gotten any weird responses from MSP's. The reason that I am asking is because I had done a couple of shops at 2 different locations of the same restaurant chain. The MSP for these 2 shops came up with weird responses to my reports like I had not provided things in my report which I actually had in my report along with them wanting me to change my answers to their questions even though I had accurately answered the questions the first time around. Through the e-mail exchanges with this MSP, I sensed they didn't want to use my reports for whatever reason without having to tell me what the actual reason was. I haven't had problems with this MSP before but I am really hesitant to do any future shops since I am already on a limited income and cannot afford to be going and spending money that I am not going to get reimbursed for. It was like playing 20 more questions with them even though I had done these shops before for them and I didn't have any issues with those reports.
Anyone have weird experiences like this?
I wanted to follow up on my previous comment especially since no one else has commented. After my jobs were rejected, the jobs were advertised again with people taking them up only to see them advertised again. I suspect that the people who did them after me ran into similar issues that I did. I am not sure what was going on. Like I said, I had not had any previous problem doing these shops and had filled out the questions correctly. I was just wondering if any of you have had issues with any MSP wanting you to change answers or lie just so whoever looks good.
That does seem odd - but at the end of the day, the MSPs are hired by their clients, and those clients can have very particular expectations regarding the information they receive - they may want additional info or clarification on something, they may have contradicting statements from the staff and need more details, etc. Did they say what the reason was for declining your shops?
Hi Ivan,
They said that I had not put in information about the associates description which I had put into my report. The employee descriptions are actual questions in the report which I clearly had answered. Also, they ask if the associates used a certain phrase. In one shop, the associate used the phrase so I answered yes. The second shop, the associate did not use the phrase so I answered no but I was told to change the answer to yes which I refused to do because the associate had not used the phrase. Both shops were rejected because they said I had not given them the information they needed which sounds to me more or less the information they wanted to hear and not what actually happened.
The MSP contacted my for more clarification but it ended up being more like 20 questions to where one question led to 20 more. I had followed the guidelines and had been clear in my report and in my answers but there wasn't any satisfaction with the scheduler. Unfortunately, I got to the point to where I told the scheduler to reject my shops since nothing was going to make her happy. Obviously, the people after me ended up have issues with the scheduler since their shops got rejected too.
I have never had any issue like this before. I know that every once in awhile, an MSP will contact me for clarification on something to where I am able to clarify things for them but it has never turned into 20 questions or adding things to my report that are already there. I am definitely not doing anymore work with this scheduler. I still do work for the same company and I haven't had any issues with the other schedulers there either. It's just this one scheduler there.
