Hello! I am a new shopper and I am confused as to when I can make my appointment. I have a shop due on October 1st. My question is can I make the appointment today for the 1st? Or do I have to wait until the first to schedule?

The Assigned Date is typically the date when the shop should be performed (so, if you have to make an appointment to go somewhere, my guess is that you should make the appointment as soon as you can, for the 1st, and then visit on the 1st). I may be wrong - the guidelines of your shop should contain more accurate information, and you can always ask the MSP/schedule.

Keep in mind that in an overwhelming majority of cases, you should only perform a shop on the Assigned Date, not sooner or later. Doing it earlier or later than scheduled can result in it conflicting with another shop, breaking various scheduling rules, etc. If you need to reschedule, you can always contact the MSP and ask if it can be rescheduled for another date.
