Hi Everyone,

I wanted to get some feedback about the video shops with your phone. I've been hesitant to take such shops as I can't figure out how to effectively conceal the fact I'm filming coupled with the fact I wouldn't be sure it was a quality video after I completed the shop.

Any advice that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Most MSC's do not allow using a phone for video shops for just that concern. I use a hidden button camera....

A hidden button camera is an added expense though. Is it worth it? I guess, yes, since you do them.

Absolutely - if you are willing to take the time to learn to be good with it. It can be frustrating at first, but after a few shops, you can be pretty efficient.

What kind of button camera do you use?

I use a Lawmate PV500. These guys can help you to know what to purchase: https://greyhawkvideosolutions.vpweb.com/apps/webstore/

If I ever do a video shop with a smartphone (some companies allow it now), I put my smartphone in my shirt pocket to record the video. I clip a pen on the right side of my pocket to make the phone angle toward center. It takes a little practice first. I use the PV 500 for most video shops. It is worth the cost if you like to shop travel routes.
