Buy one beer between 5:30 A.M. - 8:30 A.M.

I REALLY have JUST started mystery shopping and am having a hard time jumping in. I did one right before the hurricane came (Irma, I am in Fl), and I thought I had one set up to do this week but I cannot locate it. I have been doing my research on my phone. It seems easier and quicker even though I have to actually do most of the paperwork/ pictures on the laptop. I know that I am just anxious to get the ball rolling, but I need a mystery pal to assure me until I get the first couple under my belt. Any resources you can recommend? Oh, and I would not have any problem buying beer at a convenience store, but have not seen that one!.....SC

Site Evaluations

I accepted two gas station audits. OMG I thought I would never get done. The first one took me almost two hours! Then I sat in the car and finished the narrative. Just when I went whew, I received an error message and the whole shop disappeared! And I was hoping that I could get comfortable doing a route! There is alot involved to complete the shop correctly and I did not receive any help from the scheduler. The second audit went faster, but it was still an hour, plus.

But it does depend on which shop you are assigned. Before this fiasco I did a gas station reveal shop that was a piece of cake.

I guess the lesson is "live and learn!"

Good luck, Pamela!

Did every one have file a W9 to get paid? Where did u send ? To who, etc. thanks

When you fill out those applications to become a shopper with a company, do most shoppers use an EIN number or their SSN?

New to Secret Shopping

I have never heard of reduced payments. What does that refer to?

Long time reader, first time poster!

Hi Ryan

I do not post too often either. But I have a question that is eating at me. Maybe you or someone else could help me.

So I sign up for a shop that pays 12.50.

But at the bottom of the "map " of my area says "bids" or "offers." I am not sure exactly how that works.

My thoughts are that if I bundle up a few of these 12.50 shops, say three would equal 37.50. But I have to do them rather quickly and there would be driving involved (gas) so would I bid 50?

I am trying to not make a fool of myself!

Distance Pay?

When they ask you to input your milage to the shop - it was 14.2. Do I double it, because I have to get home! Or, do they just pay the distance to the shop?

Thank you for the question about milage, I always wondered.

Casino!!

I want to do a casino shop! I have seen them offered to me...I'm scared to dive into one, do it wrong, and not get paid for all of the food, drinks, and the money they give you to gamble!

Anyone have any reassurances for me?

Is it that daunting? I have been ms for three years and done a variety of shops. This casino shop is one I want to do, but am afraid. Has anyone done the shop and not been paid?
