Hello,
I am not new to mystery shopping, I did it quite regularly about 9 years ago. However I am new to iSS. I've done the trainings, accepted my first two shops and am ready to get going. I even did the age and identity verification. So I think I'm good to go.
I noticed on one of the shops that is available in my area that I have to be "Shopping Scout Certified". Could someone with more experience than I have explain what that is? I can't find anything about it.
Also, since it has been a while since I've done a mystery shop any pointers for someone getting back into it. I'm sure a lot has stayed the same, but I know a lot has probably changed too.
Thanks,
Jennifer
I just did my first shop in 8 years today. So not technically new, but it felt like I was.
Tips from my previous experience:
Good Luck and I hope you enjoy your experiences.
Roger,
I do not work for iSS, like you I am a mystery shopper so I can't offer much assistance. But if you think you have two accounts you need to contact iSS and let them know. If they do an audit there is a chance your accounts could get flagged for fraud because they don't allow multiple accounts for the same person. I looked into the FAQs and you should be able to contact iSS without logging in. Here's what I pulled from their FAQs on technical issues:
"If you ever experience a Technical Support issue, please open a Support Ticket immediately – our team is standing by to assist. To open a Support Ticket (you do not have to be logged in to iSecretShop to do this) simply go to iSecretShop.com on your browser (or mobile browser) and click the button at the top right of the page that says, “Help.” If you are using the iSecretShop mobile app, simply click the Support button.
Be sure to provide specific information including screenshots of any issues, URL addresses to page(s) you are on when experiencing a problem, the specific wording of any error messages you received, Shop ID number(s), etc. as well as a detailed explanation of the issue (e.g which question and section you were working on, for which shop, when you attempted to do what exactly, and then what happened)."
Hope you can get your issue resolved and if you're getting close to the due date for your assignment you may want to contact the MSP (Mystery Shop Provider) listed in you assignment email and let them know you are having a technical issue. I'd hate for you to get denied your shop because it was late!
Hope that helps.
-Jennifer

Good Luck
Leslie,
I have never been to a Jack in the Box! I've heard mixed reviews about them.
I did send an email to that email address and got a reply. It sounds interesting, but I don't think I have the time to complete one of those shops - I'm pretty busy with work and school. I just started back mystery shopping to earn a few bucks here and there. If you decide to tackle one of those projects you'll have to let me know how it goes. It just sounds so daunting!
