I just starting doing the price audit/shopping scout stuff for Bare International. However, it's been about 5 years and I've only just been given the opportunity. I used to apply religiously for these missions from Bare and well, now I'm finally doing it. lol. Anyways, I am quite enjoying it for the most part so far. (:
Hey y'all. I've been doing market research or market research related stuff since 2000. Although, about 5 years ago I took a step back (was a study manager and a call centre project supervisor) and started my own business of construction/general contractor. Whilst, of course, keeping my foot in the door which is what mystery shopping et. al is doing for me. But I'm about to pivot from construction and start another new company which will entail (you'll see what I've done there in the next few seconds once you finish reading this sentence, not this particular sentence but rather the one just outside of these parenthesis) me designing and making dog (and probably cat too) clothing. Anyway, two of my favourite things to do/hobbies are collecting CD singles and Lego trains. [:
So, I'm currently in the middle of doing numerous Shopping Scouts/Price Audits in convenience stores. Like those small gas station ones, or a 7-Eleven. So the stores are small and I can't hide or be inconspicuous so... Yeah. Usually within 5 to 10 minutes an employee will come and ask me if I need help with anything. I mean, who wouldn't, I think, if someone was on their mobile whilst moving from different product to different product whilst inputting information about the prices and whatnot that may be displayed. And that it can take almost an hour to finish one store. Anyway, we can't lie so I say I'm entering prices into a shopping database for a shopping app. So far that's been enough to keep them at bay... Although I did get asked to leave after 2.5 hours in one store. But I was literally 99.99% done, so it was OK. lol.
