Penalized for being sick?

Hi there,

Only a week and half in to this new company for mystery shopping - been over 10 years since I was last active through other companies.

I signed up for a shop that had certain physical requirements (workout) but I was sick that morning and emailed the contact to let them know I was unable to complete the shop since I was sick.

They cancelled it and then penalized me and took away points I accumulated for a different completed shop. Do the contacts not care if you actively reach out to them for a legitimate reason for not completing it? I understand getting penalized for canceling or no-showing without reaching out to anyone.

Any way to contact someone higher up to remove the penalization?

Penalized for being sick?

Thank you! I reached out to them again for more assistance and they reversed the negative points as they did locate the email I sent them about being sick.

Getting Verified

I went ahead and paid for the "Verified" thing and it seems like I have been able to get more shops. So far, since the last week of June (when I signed up), I have completed over 65 shops. 10 in Arkansas since I was going to be there one weekend and the rest were in Oklahoma, where I live. I generally look for outside my city (Tulsa) and take a day or half-day road trip and just complete a bunch of shops on the weekends. I have a good report with one particular MSP and have been notified in advance due to my completed shop count and the "verified" status. I just used some of my "shop" money to pay for it, so it wasn't a big deal to me. I generally pick shops that are worth my time as well.

Casino!!

Hi there! I have completed 14 casino shops and have 4 more scheduled for January! Purchase a meal at the restaurant, a drink at the bar, a drink while playing the slot machines, and if applicable, another drink at the table games. This plus $200 gambling and review cleanliness and customer service of various areas.

I did the same as Michelle - texted the employee names with their location so it was easier to answer the questions, as it just appeared that I was texting someone.
