I’m really New and don’t even know what those coins/icons mean.

The "badges" really just tally the number of shops you have successfully completed. Schedulers can look at them to get a quick idea as to how much experience you have on iSS. Of course, they will not tell a scheduler about shops you do through other platforms and companies that do not use iSS.

I'm am still fairly new at this shopping thing but having fun in the Phoenix Area.

This is a great place for starting out as everyone is very helpful and site is really set up well to guide the newcomer.

As the others have said, the badges are a quick reference for schedulers to aid them in assigning shops to us. They are very busy people

so i'm sure it works well for them. It's also kinda nice to find you have received a new badge after completing an assignment, like an extra reward. :)
