In-N-Out Burger

Silly question:

I have done a number of In-N-Out Burger shops but they only increase, "Progress Towards Next Level." Why wouldn't this also be considered (and also increase) "Fast Food?"

Thanks!

Hi Dawn,

Each shop you do increases two things - the first is your shopper score, reflected in your "progress towards next level" of your Reputation badge. The second is the progress towards next level of the specialty badge which that specific shop awards - in case of those shops, I believe it might be the Fast Food badge, although it could be setup to award a different one - you would have to check with the MSP that posts those shops.

Keep in mind that for each level of each badge, more and more shops are needed. For example, you'd get a level 1 Fast food badge for completing one shop of the Fast Food category, but you'd need to complete about a dozen more to get a level 2 Fast Food badge, and a few dozen for level 3.

I hope this answers your question :)

Hi Ivan,

Okay - I did not realize that it was the MSP who links the shop to the badges. Yes, I would think In-N-Out should be fast food but I watch my points after each shop & also when you click on the fast food badge, it lists all of the shops that you got credit for & In-N-Out is never listed.

Thank you.

Hm - it could be that it awards a different badge (like "Restaurant - Family & Casual Dining", or "Service"), or it could be that those shops were not setup to award any specialty badges at all (which very rarely happens, but it did happen occasionally).

In any case, you should check with the MSP - let them know about it, ask which specialty badge it awards so you'd know what to keep track of :)

Thanks!

Casual dining and fast food can seem similar. Some seem to be fast food only because the locations are kind of sparse as far as seating is concerned.

MSP's can use a wide range of criteria when they assign their shops to specific badges. As indicated in this thread, it is always best to go to the MSP and find out specifically from them.

I want some In and Out Burger shops in San Jose! I got a fast food badge for doing Asian Box,but the type of food seems more casual dining to me.

I did Super Duper Burger and I'm pretty sure I got fast food credit for that.
