Hi Lauren! How do you get assigned so many? Do you have any tips for newbies?

Sarah -

i am in my phone now, so need to keep it short. If you read through the old forum messages, you will find tons of tips and answers to your questions. There are folks who mystery shop for a living, earning over $70K annually. The mystery shopping world is quite large.

Most people are doing this part time, mainly because there aren't that many shops available. So $70K a year is not what the average person can make. For a person to make that much, they would need to do this full time. That is, 8-10 hours each day, everyday, doing nothing else but shops. It's like those get rich infomercials on TV. Yes, there may be a few people that make tons of money doing what they do. But the likelihood of you reaching that level is extremely rare.

As for me, I do about 2 or 3 shops a week. I do the easy shops that only take 15 minutes. So my monthly pay is modest, maybe about $200. The more difficult and higher paying shops will be ones like shopping for a new house, a new car, a cruise, a timeshare, a gym membership, a bank account, a new loan, etc.

You are correct that folks who make $70K annually do this full time - and that is a very small percentage of shoppers. I only made that statement to point out that there really is money to be had here. I do this part time as well. I've earned over $20K this year mystery shopping. That does *not* include reimbursements.

Any way you look at it - it's a great way to make some money :)

Hi Sarah,

The week that I have that many, most of them are via phone or online however they don't pay that much. I do them during downtime at work and on my lunch.
