Hello,

Every time I click on the Available Shops tab and put in the requested information...mile span, city, state, zip code and category...it hardly ever brings up anything in my area and surrounding areas. I see the list of top shoppers or whatever it is called on the home page and I see people from Lincoln NE and others in Nebraska cities around me that I can travel too. Can anyone tell me why this is?

Thank you!

Hello!

There are quite a few things that could be going on...

* It could be that the folks on the leader board travel further than you do - even hundreds of miles. I live in Seattle, but, in the last year, have done shops in Oregon, California, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota.

* You could try to expand your search radius.

* Sometimes folks have a relationship with a scheduler and are able to be assigned shops before they are ever advertised.

* Some folks have regular shops that they are assigned every month, so these never show up the job board.

* I just did a search around zip code 68501. At 25 miles, I found 3 shops. At 100 miles, I found around a dozen. There is not a lot there right now. However, iSS only represents a small fraction of all mystery shopping. If you want more work, you can look to other companies. I am registered with around 130 of them. I do very little work through iSS.

Hi,

You could also sign-up with other mystery shopping companies so that way if there aren't any shops on ISS, you can check with the other companies. The MSPA has a list of member companies along with offering training to mystery shoppers.

I agree with Michael that it would be a good idea to sign up with other mystery shopping companies as well.
