I literally was all nervous at first, walking to an apartment with the LC, I mean after all, it was my first assignment. All of the sudden, we pass the row of garages approaching the unit, when we tunn the corner to go up the stairs, and the old tenant that had been evicted weeks ago was right there! Literally pooping on the staircase! The reaction of the poor girl about to try to sell me a overpriced apartment lease was priceless. The just like froze and paused, I am still cracking up as we speak. What a heck of a first day. What is the craziest thing that has ever happened to some of you veterans out there?

Too funny - I think mine was for a retirement home. Nothing extreme like your shop. I used my acting skills well and still get a call from them every few months asking if my Mom is ready to move in. LOL

It is crazy! I know I am doing well because they all call and ask if I still want service LOL....

I'm NOT THAT DESPARATE FOR MONEY. WHY DO YOU DO THOSE INTENSIVE APARTMENT SHOPS?

Was the shop successful? I hope it was after all that.

So, I'm currently in the middle of doing numerous Shopping Scouts/Price Audits in convenience stores. Like those small gas station ones, or a 7-Eleven. So the stores are small and I can't hide or be inconspicuous so... Yeah. Usually within 5 to 10 minutes an employee will come and ask me if I need help with anything. I mean, who wouldn't, I think, if someone was on their mobile whilst moving from different product to different product whilst inputting information about the prices and whatnot that may be displayed. And that it can take almost an hour to finish one store. Anyway, we can't lie so I say I'm entering prices into a shopping database for a shopping app. So far that's been enough to keep them at bay... Although I did get asked to leave after 2.5 hours in one store. But I was literally 99.99% done, so it was OK. lol.

I was wondering, how scanning would be unnoticeable to the employees. If we are visible scanning, how can we be discreet? I want to sign up for one but, I have to figure out, how not to be seen as a secret shopper.

In some cases it's very difficult to be discreet

I've been curious about this too! It's almost worrisome if at least one employee DOESN'T approach you during an intensive scan at a smaller store for like 2-3 hours lol. I'd sure be wondering what's going on if I were them!

Just this week I did my first price audit at a liquor store (not for iSS) and most of the products were high dollar and behind a counter with a cashier right there. I ended up breaking the shop up into two days because I felt like after just a bit I was seemingly very conspicuous/weird. There was a different cashier the next day but in addition to that, even with my glasses the price tags were so hard to see from afar. I think that's the last one of those type shops I do!
