$14 CDN to Complete iSS Shopper Test?

I was wondering why it cost $14 Cdn to take an ISS shopper Fundamentals Test that was nothing more than common sense. Is there any genuine advantage to having this qualification or is it just a money grab?

I have been a mystery shopper for the better part of a decade. In the early years, I was a member. I honestly can't say I got any more shops because of membership. I got jobs because of the work I did. Maybe it's different in three States but here in Canada, there seems to be a shortage of Shoppers.

how does this work?

It also helps to live in an area where there would be lots of opportunities to do shops. If your search area is a large metropolitan city, you are going to find more shops than out in a rural community.

You might end up having to drive a long distance to find shops.

It also helps to be signed up with many Mystery Shopping Providers. I am signed up with about 25+ MSPs.

Most companies pay in the month after completion of the shops. Some pay in two weeks and some in two months. I have an excel spreadsheet to keep track of shops and payments.

Make sure your PayPal or bank information is correct.

It is in the iSSPrep portion of the website. It is called Mystery Shopping Fundamentals. It was $9.99US to take and was not really much information for an experienced shopper. I did not see any other reward for taking the time to do this course.

Have you tried looking in your profile and Provider Contracts & Policies from the Main Menu on the Homepage? If that doesn't work, try contacting a scheduler with the MSP, or try raising a trouble ticket at the top of the Main page of the iSS website.
