no, you will get it if the shop is approved.
usually a bonus is when they're running out of time and they need to get the shops completed more quickly
I haven't gotten it yet, and wonder how far you have to travel to be a globetrotter. I did a shop in Santa Cruz County --I live in Santa Clara County--but I haven't gotten any globetrotter points so I guess that is not far enough. Maybe I'll try a shop in San Mateo County if available, as long as Caltrain is available!
I live in San Jose and have done shops in Palo Alto,Mountain View,Cupertino,Morgan Hill,Gilroy,Scott's Valley,Los Gatos,Santa Clara, Campbell, and San Jose
I like to check for shops by putting 100 miles as my range, then see if any good shops in that range that I can get to by Caltrain.

I do a lot of out of town routes. I want to be a globetrotter!
How far out of town?

You don't have to go far to earn that badge! I went 3 hours north for a medical trip, and did a shop while there. I earned the globetrotter badge.
Congratulations.
Well, no base pay,no bonus.
I haven’t heard of it being up to their discretion.
If a bonus is listed, then you get it if the shop is approved.
Well, you find some shops you can get to easily and do them as instructed. You get better with each one.
I agree with that. It seems having a receipt is a no-brainer.One thing that happened to me was the store didn’t have the correct time set for their receipts. I did not notice this until the editor pointed it out to me. Nothing I could do in this case, and I still got paid.
