Hey Donald
If I may be bold and "correct" your thought process by saying: " You want to find mystery shopping OPPORTUNITIES in your neighborhood" opportunities vs. companies.
Many companies have opportunities all over, some are even international.
So, to do that all you need to do is:
A) Visit the MSPA and the IMSA web sites.
B) Sign up will the companies on these lists. As many as you want.
C) The schedulers will contact you when something close to you comes their way.
You can also launch your own search via these MSP's web sites/Apps and see what is around you, and ask for the assignment(s).
This is the reason MSPs exist. The clients go to them, and we, ICs, go to them and the circuit is closed.
Hope this helps...
Kelly and Ivan
I have a mention of time calculating apps for your smart device.
Hey Fellow MSers
I was on a job board and I found this and I immediately thought of you, so here goes...
Here is another list of restrictions that will make an IC disqualified:
Restrictions
You must meet the following qualifications to apply for this shop:
* You cannot have shopped the same location within 30 days
If you meet the following qualifications, you can immediately SELF ASSIGN shops to yourself:
* Your age is from 21 to 30 years
* Your Extended Shopper Profile must meet the requirement(s): Is a valid photo-ID uploaded? is "Yes"
* You must have the following qualifications: Self Assign
So, it's not all you, well ina way it is, if you have your extended profile filled in, then based on that information you maybe disqualify, or quantity.
Hope this helps.
Hey You All
As if we don't have enough trouble with credit reports, now the news about Equifax, one of the 3 leading credit reporting agencies, was hacked for a period of 2.5 months. Way to Go!!!
Read all about it here, and protect yourselves.

Hey Regina, and All
You asked "(ie. enable push notification)" and before I can intelligently answer you, I need to ask do you have an iOS (Apple), Android (many others), or a Windows (Microsoft) smartphone/smart device?
For iOS devices:
1) Tap on the Settings app (icon looks like a gray gear)
2) In the Settings app, tap on Notifications (it has a red icon with a white square and a white dot on the top right corner of the square. Should be in the second group of settings)
In the notification settings, you will find all the apps that support push notifications. They are supposed to be alphabetized but sometimes they will add a space to make the app go to the top of the list.
3) From this list, tap on the app you want to enable/disable/change its settings.
4) From the app's notification screen make sure you have Enable Notifications turned on (the switch should be green)
That is it! Now there are other options (on the same screen) as to how you want the notifications to behave, test these options to see which one(s) you prefer.
Hope this helps

Hey Tanner
When you need to find assignment shops, simply click on the Available Shops button, on the iSecretShop app, or from the web site find the Available Shops link on the left side of the screen. Then you will see what is available to you based on factors such as demographics, how well you have performed in the past (reputation) and if you have been to that location not too long ago.
Once you pick a shop assignment, and the scheduler has assigned it to you, it will be among the Assigned Shops. Once you finish the assignment and submit your report, and all is well, you will see it as a pending payment under payments. Make sure you add a reminder on your smartphone's calendar, so that you will not forget to look for your payment at PayPal, or by check or direct deposit however the MSP will pay you.
Hope this helps.
Hey Tammy
You are so funny! Yes I, myself, will not buy a beer from a gas station, during the early morning hours, and I am a MSer, so even that gets in the way.
I guess this type of assignment has to do, as Ivan said, with covering all shifts, or they may have identified a discrepancy during these tims so they need to check up on things. I had to eat ice cream on some of San Francisco's coldest days last winter. And I had two or sometimes three ice cream servings per day. I enjoyed the first one, but the others I left most of ithem to waste.
Our line of work is filled with inconsistencies, that is what makes it so interesting. Now you have to buy me a beer!
Hey Michael
Where do you shop? State or city will be enough.
How long have you been mystery shopping?
