Has anyone else had problems getting web based inquiry shops from Campus Feedback?
I have requested eight or nine shops, from three different schedulers, and they have all been declined. All of the shop instructions say that they can be completed as either a prospective student or a parent (me).
The only contact that I get back is the generic form reply that the request has been declined.
Any advice?
Dave K.
Keep applying.
It is common for a company to only want to assign certain shops to somebody who has performed shops for them in the past. I have not done any shops for Campus Feedback, but it's very possible that they are one of those companies. If, for instance, you are applying for a shop to physically visit a college campus, they may want to you do two, three or five phone shops first, just to make sure that they can trust you to do a good job. They might also see that you are fairly new to the iSS platform and prefer to have somebody with more shops from a variety of companies under his/her belt.
You can try to send a professional well-written email to the scheduler expressing interest in the shops and asking what you could do to make yourself more likely to receive such assignments. There is no guarantee that you will get a response - as schedulers are often kept pretty busy. However, such an inquiry won't hurt and might make it more likely that you will get the nod if they need to choose somebody who is not on their "first choice" list.
I work very regularly with some companies and pretty much get every assignment I request from them. There are others with which I have done very little work and from which I struggle to get the assignments I want. Be professional, patient and persistent. It just takes some time to establish yourself with some companies.
Thanks for the advice.
Well, so much for asking the scheduler. I sent an e-mail out three days ago with no response.
If it's all about the badges I can almost understand. But how can you get the rating if you are never assigned the shops?
I guess I'm just going to have to bombard the MSP with requests until I get some assigned.

Keep in mind that for Web/Telephone shops there is always a very large demand (like a dozen or two dozen shoppers request each one within hours of them being posted).
Here's a couple of things you can do to increase your chances of having your requests approved:
-Request shops for the soonest available dates - if a shop is available for any day next week, requests for Monday will be the first ones the schedulers see, and the first ones they approve (as they want their shops done as soon as possible), so requesting for the earliest date increases your chances of getting a shop.
-Check the Available Shops regularly, and read the emails from the schedulers or the iSS system - A LOT of shops gets grabbed within hours of being posted, so it's good to be one of the first shoppers that requests them.
-Once you submit your request, then try emailing the MSP. Let them know you've requested the shops, and that you'd very much like a chance to do them, etc, etc. Can't hurt to try. :)
I hope this helps!
Gracias!
Ivan you you an MS or do you work for and MS company assigning shops?

Hi,
I'm not an MS, and I don't work for any - I currently work for the company that created iSecretShop and this Forum, mainly doing a bunch of stuff in iSecretShop. I have done a ton of editing and scheduling too, as well as doing some shops - so I have a pretty wide perspective, and I'm trying to use it to be as helpful to shoppers as I can :)
Cheers!
Great info Ivan, was kinda wondering myself. I figured you had worked in the field a bit from your posts but working on the MSP side really gives you
a working knollege of the whole tamale. Take note shoppers, you may want to pick Ivan's brain here, LOL.
LOL, pick away! :)
Ivan,
How do you handle a situation where schedulers are contuiously sending you emails requesting that you perform a shop or shop availabilty, and you apply but the shop is not accepted or declined it just sits there. Yet you are being bombarded with the same request at least for times aday from different scedulers?
