How does applying for several checking and or savings account affect your credit? Has anyone every opened several checking or savings accounts in with the same bank at different locations without someone suspecting that you are a mystery shopper?

Applying for a deposit account does not affect your credit at all. I have opened many accounts and the same bank and not had a problem with being suspected as a shopper. Having a back story can be helpful... I have supposedly moved in and out of Latin American countries a few times, for instance.
