Has anyone actually made money that makes this system worth the time
I do it for fun and free food. I don’t think it’s meant for a full time job.
I lost my "real" job because of Covid and do not want a full time job. I started mystery shopping on June 4 and have put $4000 in the bank +lots of free food. It is very very time consuming and takes an abundance of organization. It isn't for everyone and it ends up being much less than minimum wage. However, you work on your own schedule, you work and choose times and opportunities that interest you and you have varied experiences. The money flows in at different times, so it is unreliable if you need it instantly. Sign up for a lot of different companies in order to have choices on a regular basis. I have companies that I have done only one or two shops for in four months because they have little to offer and companies that only offer a choice that I can't repeat for 3-6 or12 months. I hope this is helpful. Incidentally, I am a young 75 and the stories I can tell are enjoyable and better than watching tv or going shopping and spending money with lots of free time. Good luck and have fun.

Mystery shopping is good side income. have fun and keep in mind you are not taxed and must add it at years end. Can be a real chunk if your not prepared.
I started mystery shopping just before the pandemic. I am in an area where there are minimal opportunities, but right now I am averaging about $1000 per month - I have a pension so that is just good beer money. I started out taking anything available just to get my foot in the door. Now I am selective and rarely will do any shop less than $10, including phone and web shops. I have regular shops that I do, ranging from monthly shops paying $25 for about a 45-minute job, up to a weekly gig of $100 for about a 20-minute phone shop.
i think doing types of businesses you would normally visit makes it worthwhile. Also, you get oppertunities to try businesses you wouldnt normally try.
Nice, TY!!! I just started and have two jobs pending, it states to take 25 days, and I was worried this might be a stalling tactic for me to move on, but I see this is all quite legitimate!!!!! GREAT!!!!
Does anyone happen to know which jobs to do that bring in the money the quickest? Or are they all around the 25 day mark for payment to be received???
Hi Laura,
Each Mystery Shopping Provider has their own payment policy and payment schedule. On the Payments page, you can see how long it usually takes the MSPs to make the payments for their shops.
Awesome! Thanks fir the feedback
