I need to organize the shop sites I'm registered with their passwords and assignments due.
What software can I download to help with organization? Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
I use OneNote. It helps me with my OCD as well LOL. I can have it as an app on my phone, go to the website and download it on my PC and it syncs with all that I use it on.
Thank you for the advice Julia!
I use Microsoft Excel on my laptop for detailed info like links, pay dates and such and then copy any info that I need for quick access into OneNote so I can see it on my phone.
I also use Excel. I have one sheet just for company information, like passwords and websites. I have a separate worksheet for each month detailing the work I'm doing, status of an assignment, payment policy for that company, money spent, reimbursement, compensation, etc. I also use different color highlighters for each software platform. For example, all of my shops I do on isecretshop are highlighted yellow and those on different platforms are highlighted pink or gray.
I also use Google calendar synched to my phone and I have an app called Monthly Calendar that displays it in an easier to read way. I use GeoVerify. I use Instagram and Poto for making image collages for clients that specifically request this.
I currently use my phone's stopwatch and then take screenshots for different timings in restaurants. I feel like there has to be a better way to do this, so I would love suggestions if anyone has an app for this.
When I first started mystery shopping, it was before the age of smartphones. I didn't even have a laptop. Technology has made this work sooo much easier!
That is a very methodical approach! I love that, I bet it makes things a lot easier if you are a serious shopper and completing lots of shops every moth.
Thank you for the insights!
HeatherAnnie, the clock on my phone also has a stopwatch that I use. When the stopwatch is started, it then shows a "lap" function that I can select rather than "stop". I select this lap function for each requested timing and it creates a list that tracks the time passed since the stopwatch was turned on, while the stopwatch keeps running. If anyone else has other suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Oh, I never thought of using the lap function! Thanks for the tip
I also would like to keep better track of my shops and all that goes with them. I have been very lazy about sorting this out so I guess I had better learn how to use ONE NOTE and Excel since I have both on my computer.
Yeah, Excel and OneNote are useful, but I'd personally use them only if I had a ton of shops - the app itself is more than sufficient for several at a time - everything is already there, so I tend not to complicate with other programs if I don't have to :)
