Hello,
I shopped many times in the past for CIRRUS. My stats were good. In March of 2022, I shopped several apartment shops and the pay was to be over $300.00. I sent in several Invoices, as required, and many emails to no avail.
I thought they went out of business and stopped trying to get paid, but I see that Secret Shop is scheduling for them.
Can you help? This is just not right. I worked very hard for a week on those. My reports were all accepted with good scores.
I am just overcoming a long illness and found I could try again to resolve this.
If you cannot help, please send me the CEO's contact information.
Thank You,
Heather Trout
You need to call the owner and get aggressive. This is her usual pattern. There is a reason that scheduling companies don’t want to work with her. Get paid and never work for her again.
I sent an Email to them asking why it was taking so long to have my apartment shop approved. I got feedback in Email just stating that they were super busy but then the next day one of the shops got kicked back asking me for more detail about a shop I had completed three weeks ago and wanting the play by play scenario. I mean on one hand I'm happy thy let me do more with it but on the same hand after I've completed eight other shops since then it becomes a bit harder to recall exact "play by play" from the time I entered to the time I left. This shop was submitted now three weeks ago, turned in with literally almost a page of notes, complete explanation that their phones were down while trying to schedule so it became an unscheduled per the scheduler, and somewhere around 500 words on the play by play with the response being to turn the shop in completed, then within the five days incomplete the shop to update is on the follow up call/Email questions, then complete it again? Weird
Wait, are we supposed to be submitting invoices? I feel like THEY send them ME?
I started working with Cirrus 2 weeks ago, and I'm hesitant to keep going, worrying about if I'm actually going to get paid. All my shops have been approved however. Has anyone had any luck with them?
No, we don't submit invoices-they send them to us. I am still waiting for Cirrus to review an apartment shop from 3/4. I've done others since then that have been approved. I also have not been paid on any that I've done since the beginning of February. It says they are paid within 67 days of completion, which the invoice date is 2/13 so that should be tomorrow. Hoping I get paid on all of these!
Whatever happened to this? Did they pay on time?
I'll update you guys on the ones I've submitted. Debbie Depew stated that they pay 45 days from the assignment being submitted, but I submitted one on March 24, 2024 and it's still in my pending ungraded/accepted stack (today is April 21, 2024). I brought this to the attention of Jennifer E. from ISS and she only suggested to contact Cirrus again. I have three others pending payment from Cirrus with one dating back to 03/02/2024 which should have been paid 04/16/2024 if the 45 day mark was true, but it's still pending. If they don't pay though, I'll just file a 1099-C against them with the IRS come next tax season.
I have also asked ISS for a rating system contractors can use to rate the different scheduling companies. Rating would be based on communication, clarity of instructions, acceptance time, and time to pay. This would allow contractors some insight on who they are contracting with and be sort of a rewards system for the schedulers who do pay in a timely manor while encouraging the ones who aren't supporting us to improve as they will have fewer contractors willing to take assignments from them without a much higher compensation or other forms or payment assurance.
I ended up emailing yesterday and got a response the same day. The person said that most of mine have already processed and should show in PayPal by midnight Wednesday. That's 71 days from the invoice date of my first one, which I think is the date it's processed/approved. I am not sure how many are going to be included with that PayPal payment, but I've done a lot in February, March, and beginning of April. So some will be over the 67 days and others under it if there's more than one.
Not that I am glad this is happening to anyone else, but this is really uncool. My report was accepted on 3/11. They are supposed to pay 45 days after approval according to the Independent Contractor's Agreement. My completed and accepted shop has completely disappeared off iSS...even in the announcement section. This was only my 3rd shop ever. Ironically, a shop they canceled, rescheduled, and canceled again on me and gave me -20 for failing to complete is still there.
This shop I could get no response from the apartment complex at all let alone the target. I communicated this to the scheduler and she reassigned it to me saying that the system cancels on it's own. Less than 24 hours after it was reassigned, the same thing happened. Then I was "awarded" negative 20 points for my troubles. I got in touch with the assignor, who said she'd reverse that, but it was never done. When the shop I was able to complete was accepted, I was awarded 20 points, but I was back to zero. I sent 5 emails to the person with whom I'd been communicating about fixing the rating, but I never got reply and now apparently, I won't get paid. Thank goodness I listened to my intuition and did not do another shop for them. And thankfully, all the rest of the companies I have worked with have been great, most even paying before expected.
I have an email in to them. I'll post with any updates. Good luck everyone!
I see more shops available for them and now they've been sitting in queue for about a week. I sent them an Email stating I don't mind taking more of their shops, but we need to come up with a minimum timeframe for payout and the four shops pending payment were completed two months ago. Fortunately, I live in a small town so less shopper competition to find jobs but instead of me literally taking everything they have I just stopped taking those and started doing test drives for new vehicles which pays about the same but also within a few weeks of submitting.
I also decided to file a complaint with the BBB as Emails, phone calls, and all other means of communication have failed up to this point. If you look on Yelp, search in the Los Angeles, CA area for Cirrus Marketing. The more I'm reading these reviews the more I'm starting to accept the fact it was wasted time. One of the reviews on Yelp did suggest if you file the BBB complaint though that they did pay her to keep their A+ rating.
ok, so filing the complaint with the BBB and contacting my scheduler directly letting her know that payment on two shops were now past due this morning worked. Cirrus finally paid out at 11:31 this morning! I also contacted ISS and let them know Cirrus was breaching their own contract with contractors by not following their payment terms. I ended up getting paid for all four shops and am not seeing them on ISS now... so I asked my other friend to log in under their profile and Cirrus ended up blocking me off ISS, but I did get paid and wasn't going to take any more of their future shops. Going to hold true on the BBB complaint just so more people don't have the same issues in the future hopefully.
In short, if you want to get paid, contact ISS and file a complaint with the BBB, then give a yelp review and send your scheduler an Email letting them know they are past due and have their accounts payable department remit a payment. They'll unfriend you on ISS, but who wants to fight for their money anyway? Key term to use is breach of contract when filing the complaints.
