Figuring it all out
I'm in the process of getting underway and I've completed six assignments or so, mostly for two companies so far.
Any words of advice?

P.S. I'm applying for several companies, but how can you tell the good from the bad?
If they are on the iSS platform, they are all good! You may find you like the way some of the companies set up their surveys better than others, it's just a matter of experience.
I agree with Wendy. Choose shops close enough that it's worthwhile for you is most important. You'll learn from experience, as we would all agree. You'll get more comfortable with the guidelines as you do them and find you like some shops more than others, etc. Good luck to you!
My suggestion is to read the requirements well before assigning/requesting anything. Also, if it's a shop you've never done, it's probably smart to only sign up for 1 at first if multiple are available, to get your feet wet and make sure you're up for it. It would be a shame to sign up for multiple assignments and after doing 1 and decide it's not for you and be forced to cancel several and ruin your reputation score.
However, it's been my experience that very few shops on here are overwhelming or ask too much etc. I've been very pleased with the majority of assignments on this platform.

I can recommend reading the instructions for the shop really well and take detailed notes.
Yes, don't dive into the shopper pool, only to find out that you drowning. Start with 1 in a specific group, and get a feel for it. If it works out great, hop in; if not, don't play dodgeball. Better to have a good and sound reputation than a scheduler who might not give you a second look. Happy shopping
