Hello fellow mystery shoppers! :)
I started m.s. at the beginning of summer and it has been oodles of fun.
But, it seems like either my small town (McAllen, TX) does not have many opportunities OR am I being restricted from seeing more because I am new to iSecretShop? what are your experiences?
Also, if you get the certification for mystery shopping, do you get more shop available?
I would appreciate your feedback.
Small towns have fewer people, crewed businesses, and, therefore, fewer shopper opportunities. That can’t be changed. However, there are things you can do to make the most of what is there.
* Expand your search area. If you can travel a little further, more opportunities will be there for you.
* Find more companies. ISS only represents a small fraction of mystery shopping work. If you sign up with 100-200 MSC’s, you’ll find out what really is near you.
* With some planning, you might be able to put together a very profitable multi-day trip to Houston or San Antonio.
I am yet to see any substantive reason to get verified.
Hi,
I am glad to here that you are having fun. You might want to try and sign-up with other mystery shopping companies too. The MSPA has a list of member companies that you could check out. Small towns will have fewer opportunities but don't let that discourage you from mystery shopping.
Hello Jenn,
Look on the site often.....like many times a day. Some whole groups of shops are gone in minutes!
Depending on how far you want to go,expand your radius.
