Good evening! I am also new and looking forward to learning from those who have experience and can offer pointers and tips.
I agree with your comments here. I am new and still learning what works best for me. I really appreciate the comments and input from more experienced shoppers. I too have found the app is really good for photo or video uploads but I prefer to type on my computer as I type much faster and more correctly (spelling and grammar). I am finding that a combination of the app and my computer works best for me.
Hi Julie and cococogal! Nice to meet you both. I am also new and in Southern California. I am also getting the hang of things and looking forward to doing more shops.
Greeting from beautiful Hermosa Beach, Southern California! Nice to meet everyone!
Hello Fadi,
Congratulations on your first shop!
The icons that you are referring to are Badges, they are a way of recognizing your experience, reliability, how engaged you are in shopping, etc. Badges may be earned in a variety of ways. The most common is by completing assignments that give credit for specific badges. For example, the Fine Dining Badge is earned by completing a Fine Dining shop. And the Service Badge is earned by completing shops in that specialty category. Mystery Shopping Providers determine which category each of their shops grants Badge credit towards. iSecretShop is not involved in that process.
You may also earn Specialty Badges. These are earned in two ways: first, you can successfully complete online certification programs at issprep.com. There are a variety of useful and interesting courses available to shoppers - and the badges you earn can mean a lot in terms of which assignments you are able to obtain.
Finally there are Specialty Badges that are awarded by Schedulers and Editors. These are granted to shoppers who go above and beyond in some way and the administrator wants to recognize them for their outstanding performance.
I hope this explains the new badges. Have a wonderful day!
These are hilarious! Thank you for sharing. I would love to read more secret shopper "bloopers". I can imagine some really good ones out there!

Most MSP's pay via PayPal and each MSP has their own payment schedule and policies. iSecretShop is the software company and job board, but does not pay shoppers. Please contact the MSP you completed the shop for directly and ask them about your payments.
When you log into your profile, click on Payments and you will see the MSP's contact information next to each payment. I hope this helps!
Melissa
Shirley:
Welcome! Check your profile often for assignments near you or that you are interested in. You can either self-assign or email shops@ischedulingservice.com.
If you have not already, I encourage you to download the iSercetShop app and enable push notifications so you are notified of new opportunities in your area.
Happy shopping!

Welcome! You do not have to "unlock" shops. All shops, by all MSPs, are available to you in the Available Shops. If you want to see more available shops, you can change the search distance filter (in the upper-left corner of the Available Shops page, above the map) to 50 or 100 miles, and click the search button (a small magnifying glass symbol in that same row) - this will show you the available shops in a wider area.
We have a specialty "badge" system, which you receive for completing certain shop types. Their purpose is to show that you are experienced in those shops. If you request a specialty shop, the badges can have an impact on the schedulers' decisions to assign certain shops or not.
I hope this answers your question!
