I Hello
I am Fadi and new to this. I just had my first shop and I am excited to gtet paid.
How do you use the icons, I see some have many and some have few, I already have 1. what do they mean
Hello Fadi,
Congratulations on your first shop!
The icons that you are referring to are Badges, they are a way of recognizing your experience, reliability, how engaged you are in shopping, etc. Badges may be earned in a variety of ways. The most common is by completing assignments that give credit for specific badges. For example, the Fine Dining Badge is earned by completing a Fine Dining shop. And the Service Badge is earned by completing shops in that specialty category. Mystery Shopping Providers determine which category each of their shops grants Badge credit towards. iSecretShop is not involved in that process.
You may also earn Specialty Badges. These are earned in two ways: first, you can successfully complete online certification programs at issprep.com. There are a variety of useful and interesting courses available to shoppers - and the badges you earn can mean a lot in terms of which assignments you are able to obtain.
Finally there are Specialty Badges that are awarded by Schedulers and Editors. These are granted to shoppers who go above and beyond in some way and the administrator wants to recognize them for their outstanding performance.
I hope this explains the new badges. Have a wonderful day!
Hi, I have a related question. I understand what badges are and how they are assigned. What I don't understand is the Reputation Rank. I currently have a Reputation Rank of 2 and I'm 56 % of the way. Would someone explain these terms to me. What do they mean and how are they assigned?
Hi Walter
The reputation badge (unlike all other badges) has a range of 1 to 10. All others have 1 to 5. So the more successful assignments you complete the more reputation points you will earn, and that is good.
Now mind you, at times you will have to unassigne yourself from a shop for various reasons, and that will dig your rating. It has an automated process and I do not know if the human scheduling department may by pass this automated process and unassigne you manually so you do not get the ding.
I had accepted a shop only to see that the target was shopped back in December. I still got the dig.
Hi,
As Wassim said - the Reputation badge is determined by your shopper score, which is the sum of all your accumulated points.
You gain points automatically for successfully completing shops (once they get approved), for doing Opinion Polls on iSecretShop, and for completing courses on iSSprep.com.
You lose points automatically for canceling (unassigning) shops, having your shops declined, our when your shops become overdue and expire if you don't do them (they then get automatically unassigned).
Schedulers can, in some cases, restore your lost points, for example if you can't do a shop due to the extreme weather conditions, on the location is closed when it should be open, etc. Also, in very rare cases of technical issues with the system itself (website or app), you can contact iSecretShop and explain the issue in detail, and after the developers look into it, if they determine that there was indeed nothing you could do to submit your report, your points will be restored - but please note that this is VERY rare, as the iSecretShop system is very reliable and has developers working round the clock to ensure that, so iSecretShop generally almost never restores lost points.
Regardless of lost points - your reputation will not suffer much at all if you continue to take and do shops in a reasonable, rational way.
The idea is that shoppers should take on as many shops as they can/want to do, do them on the date they are scheduled for, and complete their reports on time, meeting all shop requirements.
As you continue to do that, your Reputation rank will increase, and with it, the number of shops you can self-assign without having to request them.
Reaching higher ranks is a very rewarding achievement, as it serves as proof that you are an active, good shopper, and the system is set to reward that by allowing you to take on great number of shops at any moment without even having to submit requests for them.
I hope this answers your question!
