Hi all,
I am also a newbie from the UK who has just moved over from SM Quest. I'm really going to miss that site. I loved getting the alert emails halfway through the night so I could quickly log in and pinch the local visits. I'm not sure how it will work on here.
When Jenni emailed and said visit were online on ISS, I spent an hour on my mobile but was not able to see a thing. I followed all the bullet points but still didn't see a thing. It's only when I used my laptop the day after when I saw the visits.
It's nice to have a chat facility though. It's really good to catch up with others.
Have a good end to the weekend.

My hotel visit for SM on ISS took just over 2 weeks to be processed. They were normally processed within 2 days on the old Quest site.
Roll on the visits for this month and next.
Hi Ashley, in the retail phone store, you could always ask the member of staff if they can get you a better deal by asking their manager. So maybe ask if they can drop the upfront fee of a contract or so?
In the UK, if you say the price is too high, the member of staff normally says "let me check with my manager to see if they can do anything about it".
I remember about 10 years ago when they used to pay mileage for all mystery visits so if you did 5 visits for 5 different companies in 1 city, you would get 5 x travel expenses! It's not a done thing anymore.
Fees and reimbursements are always going down and mileage is only ever paid when they get really desperate, i.e. last few days of the month when they really want all the visits completed. At this point, you can really "hammer" them. Ask for big bonuses, you have nothing to lose.
I've been abroad from the UK for a few mystery visits where the mystery shopping company has either paid for the airfare and / or the hotel. Fun times :-)
LOL. I've done some adult sex shops in the UK but never again. I was mortified. She was asking if I wanted to buy some dodgy toys for me.
The scenario was someone was retiring from work. How did we end up with her trying to sell me toys!
Oh yes they are a threat to us. In the UK, 2 supermarkets and at least 2 coffee shops brought out the receipt surveys and are no longer mystery shopped. For sure, they do not provide detailed information but it saves the company a shed load of cash. They try to sell the receipt surveys with the chance of winning a £250 gift card every month. Compare this to how much it would cost for each of their shops to be mystery shopped every month and they are quids in.
I don't believe McDonalds is mystery shopped in the UK anymore either. It used to be a good little earner at the end of the month when they needed jobs filling!
Hi all. Has anyone requested an extension for a hotel visit and got it? I've seen one I want to do but I can't commit to those days.
Quest visits were so much better in you had all month to do them in.
I've emailed Jenni but was wondering if anyone has had an extension.
