Is there a limit to the level on the badges?

I do a lot of convenience stores and gas stations and my badge is now at 5. I just finished another 30 or so which have been approved and affected my reputation score but there has been no movement on my gas stations badge (or any other).

Hi Wendy,

That is very impressive! For all shop specialty badges in the system, the limit is 5 - it's the highest level that can be achieved, and represents a tremendous experience in that shop category.

I believe that the only badge which has a higher limit is the Reputation badge, which is a representation of your overall shopper score, and will continue to increase with each shop you complete until it reaches level 10.

I've personally still never seen it happen though - higher level badges are quite hard to obtain (as it takes more and more points to get every next level), so I think the most high-ranking people in the system right now could perhaps be level 8 probably...But of course, with high levels comes a very high self-assigned limit, so...yay for them, and good luck to everyone on getting there too! :)

Wow thank you Ivan for the information. I didn't know that! I really appreciate it when I can learn more about isecretshop and how I can improve, track my progress and set goals. I really wish there was a section to this forum with posts from members that provide "FYI", helpful tips, etc since there's not a whole lot of information on the actual site. Thanks again! I do enjoy reading your posts!

Thanks for all the info Ivan. You are a great resource. I was also wondering about something else. I read somewhere that if you re-schedule shops it affects your ranking. Quite often I am able to get shops done before my original schedule date. By re-scheduling, does that negatively affect my scoring?

I want to know that too. I never knew rescheduling hurt my score.

I think I read it in a post about the proprietary algorithm used to calculate out ranking score. It takes into consideration number of shops, diversity, etc etc.

It might be silly, but I wish they did go past lvl 5. I've done so many quick and simple retail gas station shops I know I'm well past lvl. 5, probably lvl. 10, lol.

I'm very confident in saying that rescheduling doesn't hurt any scores unless it's on the backend and not shown. I've rescheduled dozens of shops to take care of things sooner, or move things around, etc. without any seen consequences.

Now if you cancel shops, that does directly show hurting your overall reputation score. But as far as I've seen, the individual badge scores never go down, only your Overall reputation score.

Thanks David! That's what I thought.

You're welcome!

As for rescheduling - it does not affect your shopper score. Canceling shops, or having them declined or canceled when they expire - that causes you to lose points, but your score (and your badges) do not suffer when you reschedule.

As for higher level badges - perhaps in time, as more and more shoppers reach lvl 5 badges for shop specialties, higher levels could be introduced to differentiate them, it's definitely not an interesting thought.

Cheers!.
