If I take a job that says the completion date is April 2, 10pm to 6am, does that mean I can do it between 10pm on April 1 until 6am on April 3? Or does it mean that I can’t start it until 10pm April 2 and have to finish by 6am April 3? I wish these things were clarified in the shop instructions... the time period clearly straddles two days.
That is unclear.
I suggest contacting the scheduler for clarification.
Thanks, I’ll try contacting and post back with the answer. I thought maybe this was something I was supposed to know or would be obvious to a more experienced worker. Guess not!
(Above, where I asked, “does that mean I can do it between 10pm on April 1 until 6am on April 3?”, I meant April 2 instead of April 3.)
My best guess is that it means that the visit should be done after 10 PM on April 2 (and done by 6 AM the following morning, April 3).
However, as MFJohnston said, it is wise to contact the schedulers whenever in doubt about such things.
Good luck! :)
There’s not an edit button here, is there? Too bad, because I could have really used one above in my correction of my first post, which was also incorrect. Anyway, the answer in this case was that if the shop date says April 2, 10pm to 6am, it can be performed between 10pm April 2 and 6am April 3. It would be nice to see such things clarified in shop instructions to save uncertainty and the need to contact schedulers.
Bring it to their attention, they may not know it's confusing.
Good advice for any shoppers. Double check everything in your shop stuff before completing it. Happy shopping
If I want to change the day I want to do the shop, do I need to cancel and reschedule?
Secret - if you look at the shop on your "assigned shops" list, you should see a green button next to each shop you've been assigned marked "reschedule." Shops can usually be rescheduled., but not always.
