I would take the free courses from the issprep.com website. Then pick one shop you want try, read the guidelines (usually a PDF) fully, and read the questionaire before going.

A revealed audit is good to start with as you can follow your notes!

Don't over think it. It seems a little overwhelming at first, but as you go through the actual shop, things fall into place. If a task is unclear in the guidelines, email the scheduler for clarification.

Look at all the shops that are offered and pick one or two ya like, read over the guidelines and if it's something you're interested in, just go for it...

If you miss something or don't give enough detail, the schedulers (most) are really good about giving you some time to correct it.

Just as important... Have fun.

You will get more confident and better as you go!
