I wanted to start a new trend about what is the cheapest item you buy just to get a receipt for a mystery shop.
Gas Stations - usually get a Lint chocolate if available. I miss penny candy. LOL
Grocery Store - kind of stuck on this one. Maybe a banana or bun from the bakery?
Hardware store - Sample tile or wood for less then $1. It also fits in the scenario. I'm dying to try buying one screw but have not tried this yet.
Here's to 2021 and hoping there are way more shopping opportunities for everyone!
Buy one screw at Home Depot, I work and it makes me mad, too funny
Is doing this secret shopper gig a good Money
Lol! Just don't forget to use up the Reimbursement budget on shops that have it :)
YYes, bananas are usually pretty cheap. You can also check the clearance section for all the half price items.
Get something that you need. That's better than looking for the cheapest item. Get bread or milk at the gas station shop where you have $5.
My question was for a no reimbursement shop. It even says in the shop instructions to get the cheapest item you can find! :-) All you need is a receipt to prove you were at the location.
For Best Buy health and safety audits that reimburse $2.00, buy a soda from the fridges at the checkout line. With tax you end up with a cold drink for about $0.12 cost to you.
I like the Mexican buns.
It’s usually a lot more expensive there though, right?
At Ace Hardware they carry Zote laundry soap for about $2. More expensive than Wal-Mart or a Mexican grocery, but good to use for washing a small item in the sink to get the hot water up for your shower.
I almost did a The Source mystery shop (old Radio Shack) but had no idea what to buy for under $1. Do they still sell single batteries? :-) I got there and it was permanently closed. :-( Got half the shop value as got photos of the closed sign.
It’s annoying when that happens.
