My local bank always asks if you get a survey to give them a 10 out of 10. It was funny as one day got the rudest service ever! I then asked her directly if she was going to rate herself from 1 to 10 how would she rate her service today? She could not even respond to me. LOL
Wow. I bet that made her even madder when you called her on it.
I forgot about this. Kind of funny as now she is super nice to me when I bank there now.
I was a regional manager for a bank and had to call a sample of customers for feedback on service in my branches and ask them to score out of 10. Most people would say 8 or 9 and when I’d ask what the staff member could have done better to get a 10 they’d say they couldn’t have done any more but they would never give a 10!
The scores counted towards the staff bonus scheme so I’m sure that’s why they ask you.
Banks are like most companies: we all have a few horror stories! I banked with one from 1975 until 2019; left as they wrote me my late mothers line of credit that someone tried to use claiming to be her after she passed: "We have received the documents as below, but we cannot close this account until the account holder comes into the branch." (Documents as stated below included Death Certificate)
But on the flip side did a secret shop for a bank to negotiate rates the other day...tempted to go back in and get the rate was so good!

I always try to give a 10 unless something substantial went wrong. I had a feeling a bonus was attached.
