Hello , I’m new to iSecretShop. I am located in Salt Lake City. How can I earn badges and improve my score ? I’ve been reading about this in the forum perhaps I missed this info when I signed up . When a new shopper begins how many shops can I self assign ? Also what happens when you sign up for a shop and then it doesn’t get done for some reason or another ? Thanks for the info ! Look forward to this and hope it goes well . Any tips are greatly appreciated!

It appears that you can self assign two shops. When I started, I made the mistake of signing up for four shops. That must have been allowed at the time since I got approved. I also didn't know how to use the system in misinterpreted things. Basically, I ended up missing two shops and getting negative points. I also couldn't do a shop because I wasn't able to find someone to come with me. If you miss a shop, you'll be unassigned and points will be deducted. If you give them the heads up about not being able to do a shop, points will still be deducted. Be very careful about the shops that require you to go with someone.

If you can self assign, it's instantly in your assigned shops. If you can't self assign you just wait and see if the scheduler pucks yours as a first come first serve basis. After you take a few shops your score will increase and different types of shops earn different badges. I'd suggest using a calendar so when you're assigning or requesting shops you're not overbooking yourself and can plan your time out.

Hi Preston!

There is a video library at the bottom of the Home page. There is also a training under the iSS prep tab at the top of the home page. The intro and advanced training are free. The additional training is helpful and worth paying the small fee. I just went through all of them yesterday/this morning.

Hope this helps!
