Good Day Everyone,
This is not really a question; however I am looking for commentators to clarify the justification for the $9.95 Scout Certification fee, and perhaps provide some reassurance that this is a necessary and acceptable request to fulfill.
I am new to this platform and am interested in becoming a mystery shopper, as there are many available shops in my area. I began completing the available courses on ISS Prep; however, I did notice that the certification is only issued for a fee.
Of all the jobs I've had in the past, which required training and/or certification, I have never had to pay a single penny. It seems like a red flag, as the general rule of thumb to avoid employment scams is never pay to get a job.
I'd love to hear some insight from Shoppers who have completed this step.
Danielle, I'm exactly of the same opinion as you, I just finished the three basic fundamental certifications but the last one is $9.95 as you say, I'm waiting for your opinion
It is legitimate but the shopping scout shops at Costco are very time intensive and work out to be a very low hourly pay once you put in 8 hours to finish it.
Shopping Scout certification is free.
Please email ShoppingScout@MysteryShopperServices.com and they will send you the live presentation invite or you can take the course online (no live presentation needed). Both go over all of the details you need for the project.
Thank you,
