Hello all,
Is there some sort of certification required to be accepted for CampusFeedback jobs? Or perhaps maybe something missing from my extended profile that i need to finish? I have been rejected a few times and I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
Thanks!

Hi Daren,
If you are able to see certain shops on the Available Shops page then you meet the basic requirements to do them, regardless of the MSP. There si no certification to specifically qualify you for doing shops for a certain MSP, not increase your chances of getting shops.
I'm not sure which specific shops are you referring to, but there could be a lot of reasons why your requests aren't being approved - if there is a lot of interest for some shops, the schedulers usually give shops to those shoppers that requested them first, and that requested them for the earliest possible dates - they do this to ensure their shops are completed as soon as possible.
Other factors for choosing shoppers whose requests they will accept may include the overal shopper Reputation rank, their specialty badges, previous experience in those shops, etc.
If you want to know more about the status of your requests and/or the reason they were declined in the past, I recommend contacting the MSP directly and asking - their schedulers can give you the best and most reliable info.
I hope this helps!
Campus Feedback has declined me several times so far.
They do, however, state reasons why they decline you, and all appear to be out of our control.
It's not you...it's them!!
Dan
One thing I noticed while exploring this site, is new shoppers can only do one shop at a time. I have one scheduled for the 12th and I'm sure that
is one of the reasons I've not been approved on a couple Campus Feedback shops I've requested. That and the shop i'm assigned is my first one, so I have yet to complete a shop. Sure that's a factor as well.
From my own personal experience, as my reputation rank rose so did my ability to self assign more shops. There are, however, a lot of shops that aren't able to be self assigned, which just means they need certain demographics /a variety of different people or situations to do these shops so they choose those who fit the requirements set by the MSP. Its not you personally. I've realized that. Sometimes i get assigned ten phone shops at once, sometimes I don't get assigned any. It largely depends on if I fit what they need for those specific assignments.
Tara is absolutely right!
The best thing you can do is stay persistent and keep requesting and doing shops - the more you do the easier it becomes to get them and to complete them. Also, here's a few things I figured out recently (might not be the case with all MSPs, but worth trying):
-"Diversify" early on - do a different kind of shop every week if you can, pretty soon you'll have several different badges, making your name look more appealing in a ton of other requests.
-Grab the "easy to get" shops as soon as they are posted - those shops that are posted in large numbers, keep an eye on when they are usually posted (weekly and monthly) and self-assign or request them as soon as they come out.
-Be the "last minute assist" shopper for those "hard to get scheduled" shops - the schedulers will love you for this, and there are usually several of these shops open at the end of the month, and they often have bonuses too, so if you request them then, you have a very good chance of getting them, and making a few more bucks than usually :)
I hope this helps!
I agree 100% Ivan! I've actually gotten a couple phone calls from schedulers recently asking if I could complete a shop, as they noticed I've done them before. I was so excited and grateful to get the extra work.
Can you put in multiple requests for phone / internet shops? Like request several different days and/ or times?
Or does this upset the schedulers?
You can request as many shops as you like - just be prepared to do them if they all get assigned. Schedulers will be thrilled if you successfully complete a dozen shops for them.
That is a very good point. Many contributors on the forum have echoed the sentiment "I'd like to have more shops." "I've requested shops and have not gotten them."
Some contributors have said to request all of the available shops listed. That's a great idea EXCEPT in one situation: IF you get ALL of them. Say the shop is ordering pizza from ABC Pizza. It's an upscale pizza shop and you love their pizza. You've done a shop for ABC in the past and the MSP recognizes it. You have requested the other 7 available shops, and the MSP gives them all to you. What happens? I like pizza too, but ....?
Sometimes, the caveat might be the better valor. This shopper suggests may requesting half or less the number of your favorite or other available shops. This way, there is no burnout for you, the shopper, or the MSP and client. Just a passing thought for this thread on the iSS forum.
