Self assign number and requesting option

Every level your reputation grows, you get more self-assign capability. As for "requesting" shops, there is a button you can push when previewing the shops (like the self-assign button). When you do this, the scheduler is notified that you have requested the shop. When s/he sees the request, s/he will decide whether or not to grant the shop to you. If it is granted, you should get an email notification.

Uping Maximum number of shops

It really varies. Getting up the first level is quick. However, each level beyond that takes progressively longer. I do very little shopping through iSS, and have been on level 5 (?) for about a year. I don't know my self-assign limit and I generally don't want more than a few shops that are available to me.

First shop, how to's and don't welcome

I have done thousands of shops... I have known about credit card application shops that have required that you either give your real number or a fake one. However, when the fake one is required, the MSC and client provide it to the shopper so that it brings up a very specific background.

First shop, how to's and don't welcome

What type of shop is this and what is the context of the salesperson asking for your SSN?

Questions about Approval and Payment from a newbie

You may or may not get feedback - this very much varies with the company. Payment ranges from one week to four months - also depending on the company. On the iSS homepage, you can click on "Provider agreements and policies" to learn more about how each particular company operates. Also on the home page, you can select "payments" to check the status of pay you are expecting.

ABM Valet or NWLPC MSP rejected work

Hi!

I have done MANY shops for NWLPC and have personally met Doug Rector, the owner. I have found it to be one of the best MSC's to work with and Doug has always dealt very fairly with me - even when I have been a nincompoop.

I have done quite a few valet parking shops - for multiple companies. Do you have any information about the reason for rejection?

Location, Location

Small towns have fewer people, crewed businesses, and, therefore, fewer shopper opportunities. That can’t be changed. However, there are things you can do to make the most of what is there.

* Expand your search area. If you can travel a little further, more opportunities will be there for you.

* Find more companies. ISS only represents a small fraction of mystery shopping work. If you sign up with 100-200 MSC’s, you’ll find out what really is near you.

* With some planning, you might be able to put together a very profitable multi-day trip to Houston or San Antonio.

I am yet to see any substantive reason to get verified.

41 year old Geezers

This is pretty common... The restaurant targets folks in their 20's and 30's, so they want feedback directly from folks in the same age bracket.
