I'll update you guys on the ones I've submitted. Debbie Depew stated that they pay 45 days from the assignment being submitted, but I submitted one on March 24, 2024 and it's still in my pending ungraded/accepted stack (today is April 21, 2024). I brought this to the attention of Jennifer E. from ISS and she only suggested to contact Cirrus again. I have three others pending payment from Cirrus with one dating back to 03/02/2024 which should have been paid 04/16/2024 if the 45 day mark was true, but it's still pending. If they don't pay though, I'll just file a 1099-C against them with the IRS come next tax season.
I have also asked ISS for a rating system contractors can use to rate the different scheduling companies. Rating would be based on communication, clarity of instructions, acceptance time, and time to pay. This would allow contractors some insight on who they are contracting with and be sort of a rewards system for the schedulers who do pay in a timely manor while encouraging the ones who aren't supporting us to improve as they will have fewer contractors willing to take assignments from them without a much higher compensation or other forms or payment assurance.
Thank you for the heads up. I'm sort of just avoiding the whole company at this point due to their convoluted payment processing times, but something like 5-6 hours just seems like a full time job instead of some side gig and then the waiting game to see if it even gets accepted is a higher risk than most of the other jobs.
Most of the shops you do where you need to purchase something will be more for the experience than the pay. I saw one last night that was for some designer clothing subscription for two months. As an average guy, I thought I might try it out and go Freddy Mercury for a couple months but the payout was confusing so I emailed the scheduler to inquire. Turns out it's only a reimbursement for the subscription and they only carry women's clothing... I'm not ready to get into that lifestyle so I declined. I had another one that was an oil change and was reimbursed for the oil part but the pay was only $15 which was ok because I needed it anyway, and finally a car wash that reimbursed the cost of the wash and paid out something like $3.00.
Just shy of 45 days the one shop was approved last night at 16:58 MST. I've been waiting 54 days as of today for their first payment though so we'll see how that turns out. In another thread there was also someone that was warning against their storage facility shops saying the pay is around $90, but requires an hour long training video, a test, and around four hours at the facility.
The ones I've seen ask for you to use one called Lawmate pv-500. Hardly seems worth spending $300-$500 on a camera when you'd need to do 6-10 shops to break even on the investment.
Getting assigned shops will depend on your location; (Smaller cities will have fewer than major cities) so you may need to expand your distance on the map a little. As for badges, they just show up when you complete shops based on the type of shop you end up taking. As for which shops to take just as Sarelli said, pay attention to their payment terms and make sure you know what's expected of you for that shop but most important is start with something you're comfortable with first and then once your reputation grows a bit you can afford to take one or two you're not comfortable with.
They suggested telling people you were price shopping for Instacart or worked at a retirement community and getting prices for the residents.
Post a screenshot of the error you're getting, it's usually because of a previous answer though.
I did a quick, but low pay shop for them starting Friday. It was to call and ask about a spot to park an RV. I couldn't reach the intended target after three calls, so the scheduler advised lets try again for Monday. I called again, intended target answered and after a brief four minute phone call submitted the one question report, "Were you able to reach your intended person?" I did explain the three missed shots, then the final getting the intended shop. Spell check, submit and done. This morning, they paid out. (Literally less than 18 hours passed since I had submitted)
If you're looking for an easy going place to work with that pays super early Prism Intelligence is one of the fastest I've seen!
I see more shops available for them and now they've been sitting in queue for about a week. I sent them an Email stating I don't mind taking more of their shops, but we need to come up with a minimum timeframe for payout and the four shops pending payment were completed two months ago. Fortunately, I live in a small town so less shopper competition to find jobs but instead of me literally taking everything they have I just stopped taking those and started doing test drives for new vehicles which pays about the same but also within a few weeks of submitting.
I also decided to file a complaint with the BBB as Emails, phone calls, and all other means of communication have failed up to this point. If you look on Yelp, search in the Los Angeles, CA area for Cirrus Marketing. The more I'm reading these reviews the more I'm starting to accept the fact it was wasted time. One of the reviews on Yelp did suggest if you file the BBB complaint though that they did pay her to keep their A+ rating.
ok, so filing the complaint with the BBB and contacting my scheduler directly letting her know that payment on two shops were now past due this morning worked. Cirrus finally paid out at 11:31 this morning! I also contacted ISS and let them know Cirrus was breaching their own contract with contractors by not following their payment terms. I ended up getting paid for all four shops and am not seeing them on ISS now... so I asked my other friend to log in under their profile and Cirrus ended up blocking me off ISS, but I did get paid and wasn't going to take any more of their future shops. Going to hold true on the BBB complaint just so more people don't have the same issues in the future hopefully.
In short, if you want to get paid, contact ISS and file a complaint with the BBB, then give a yelp review and send your scheduler an Email letting them know they are past due and have their accounts payable department remit a payment. They'll unfriend you on ISS, but who wants to fight for their money anyway? Key term to use is breach of contract when filing the complaints.
