Rare but I have even seen shops at the same location for different MSP. Good thing that doesn't happen too often. The one I am thinking about is a variety store with a name brand gas station. Different shops and MSP for the variety store and gas station.
Most challenging one for me was touring a retirement home pre-covid of course. I still get a call monthly asking if my Mom wants to move in so my acting skills must of been great! :-)
My local bank always asks if you get a survey to give them a 10 out of 10. It was funny as one day got the rudest service ever! I then asked her directly if she was going to rate herself from 1 to 10 how would she rate her service today? She could not even respond to me. LOL
I have done those shops before with a ton of pictures you need. I had to go back once as did not take the right pictures. I felt awful having to see the manager again. :-(
Marylou - Any time estimate you can provide for these shops? It looks very time consuming if you have to purchase and return the JUUL product.
I would get an estimate of your mileage and then negotiate with your scheduler. I sometimes see huge bonuses in Northern Ontario as no one lives there! I'm not sure about Newfoundland though.
My furthest shop was in Waikiki Hawaii on vacation. I got the Airport shuttle as a mystery shop and a dinner show. :-) Also did a timeshare presentation (Non mystery shop) but got a $100 prepaid credit card.
I wanted to start a new trend about what is the cheapest item you buy just to get a receipt for a mystery shop.
Gas Stations - usually get a Lint chocolate if available. I miss penny candy. LOL
Grocery Store - kind of stuck on this one. Maybe a banana or bun from the bakery?
Hardware store - Sample tile or wood for less then $1. It also fits in the scenario. I'm dying to try buying one screw but have not tried this yet.
Here's to 2021 and hoping there are way more shopping opportunities for everyone!
My question was for a no reimbursement shop. It even says in the shop instructions to get the cheapest item you can find! :-) All you need is a receipt to prove you were at the location.
USA definitely has more mystery shops then Canada. I find you get more in smaller cities if you are willing to do a road trip then in big cities in Canada. Plus of course many places are not shopped currently due to the pandemic.
