Welcome fellow Ontario shopper! I'm going to age myself but have mystery shopping for over 20 years now. One of my first shops was done on paper that I had to mail back. :-) Happy shopping - hopefully the stay at home order ends soon and we get back to normal volumes with mystery shopping. :-)
I have seen some shops only reimburse 50% of your expenses and no pay. I guess good for a business travelerl but awful for a mystery shopper. I always wonder who picks up these shops.
I like the free product ones but agree with the audits. Some of them now pay 75 cents! I thought $3.50 was bad.
Rare but insider tip for Flashflood. If item is priced under 50 cents, as long as you order each one separately they will not charge your credit card. I tried it and got a bunch of yogurt drinks for free. :-)
Photos can be challenging to be honest. Read the instructions carefully as they FA is really specific in what type of photo they are looking for.
P.S. Can I move to Florida? They don't have alcohol shops in Canada!
I forgot about this. Kind of funny as now she is super nice to me when I bank there now.
The wineries in Ontario are under VQN so I think it is part of their mandate to have mystery shoppers. There are over 160 Ontario wineries producing VQA wines of various appellations - all backed up by VQA Ontario's assurance of origin and quality.
Smart planning Russell. I try to group a bunch of shops together when travelling. It is cool but rare if you get mileage from more then one MS company! :-)
I have been doing some HP reveled shops. Not too bad as I just show the authorization letter when I go in and have had no issues. Also an added bonus is the company pays you in US$ even though in Canada which is a 30% bonus for us here.
Good for some extra income but not enough jobs for full time work. Happy Shopping!
