I'm challenged by this as well. Sometimes a scheduler will call me and ask how much it will take to get to travel to a remote city.
My favorites are sometimes in Canada, a US company will pay you in US funds which is 35% bonus for us. :-)
I hate shops where you have to take a photo of the washroom. Easy to do at a single washroom with a locked door like at a gas station. Much harder to do at a huge washroom at a movie theater! I had to get my partner to help me and tell me when the washroom was empty to get that photo. :-)
I hate the Kroger shops. You need to remember everyone's name in each department and you get paid so little. Someones they offer a bonus but only last second when no one completes them.
Yikes - I'm having flashbacks to about 15 years ago when a mystery shopping company went out of business and no one got paid. :-( My advice to try to keep asking the MSP for updates.
A Canadian mystery shopping company has restaurant shops were all you get is 50% reimbursement. There sit on the board forever! Shocker! :-)
What is everyone's view on those receipt surveys? Do you feel it reduces the number of mystery shoppers? I have completed some but only if getting a discount for the future. McDonald's in Canada gives you a coupon for free fries & soda coupon when you buy a sandwich. I don't complete ones that you an entry for a contest.
Kind of pointless to find new companies. I'm sure there will be a bunch of consolidation of mystery shopping companies when this pandemic is done. :-(
I have seen those shops before but usually in person and not by phone. They state "Please target (employee name)." Many bar compliance shops have this. My advice is start off with some easy shops and move your way up to more advanced once you get used to mystery shopping.
If I have to attached a bunch of photos, I use the app. If I have to type lots of comments, I use my desktop. :-)
If you like fast food shops, there is a bunch of shops right now on Market Force for Houston, TX!
