Hi,
I am glad to here that you are having fun. You might want to try and sign-up with other mystery shopping companies too. The MSPA has a list of member companies that you could check out. Small towns will have fewer opportunities but don't let that discourage you from mystery shopping.
It will depend on the company that you did the shop for. I haven't had any issues with payments from companies. Usually, payments will be made 45 to 60 days after the shop but it could be shorter or longer depending on the company.
An interesting shop. Thanks for sharing. As far as shying away from apartment shopping, it's definitely normal for that since we all have our own personal preferences.
I totally agree that MSC should set the example but the guidelines that we are given are not what the MSC's have to give their clients. Also, the editors and people in the quality assurance departments probably want to keep their work down too so the reports can be turned in to the clients in a timely manner.
That does seem like an odd request. I know that I was denied doing a job, through another place, at Whole Foods for taking pictures which didn't make any sense since people do it regularly there without as problem. All you can do is to take pictures as discretely as possible.
I don't think it is unethical to discuss issues with shops or MSP's but I do agree that different shoppers will prefer different MSP's. I know that I am might be an older newbie but I know now which companies and shops that I prefer and don't prefer. From my experience, I have had really great experiences with some MSP's and some bad experiences with others along with the in-between crowd.
I was just wondering if any of you have had shops sent back for revision only to have to send them back with no revision? I was wondering because I have had a couple of shops from this week be sent back to me over answers that the store employee gave. I did end up put that in my report but I don't have a good feeling though. The other shop I could even do because there was not any store employee available and I did wait a reasonable amount of time and there still wasn't anyone available with no signs of improvement. The shops are the collecting price information for Intouch Insight.
Any thoughts?

Welcome to ISS and mystery shopping. Yes, you can make money doing mystery shopping and how much is dependent on you. The MSPA has a list of member mystery shopping companies that you can use to shop which will require you to register with them. Also, I use ISS along with other companies and/or platforms so that way I can keep somewhat busy. By signing up with other companies, you might be able to do different shops for different companies in a day or in one week. I do mystery shopping part-time. The thing that has helped me stay organized is an appointment type calendar so that I know what I am doing and about when. It also helps me keep track of personal activities too. I know smartphones have apps for appointments but I prefer the paper kind. You will have to find what works for you.
Hi,
You can still do shops with negative points but I don't know what your self-assign limit ability is. If you are able to self-assign, you can do those shops that you pick. I try to do the shops that I know that I can do which usually are the simpler ones. I know simple is different for everyone so maybe doing some simple shops for you will help you get back into the positive area. Also, ISS does have the occasional opinion polls. Make sure that you prepare for the shops too by reading the guidelines of what you are suppose to do so that you know what you need to do during the shop and what is need for your report.
