Isecretshop app not working on iPad?

Hi Michael,


I haven't heard of anyone having that problem - but if it is a persistent issue, I advise you to open a support ticket for iSecretShop, state all that, as well as any other specifics you can think of (the iPad model, iOS version, are you able to take any actions at all from the page it's stuck at, a screenshot of the page, anything you think might be helpful to the developers when looking for and trying to replicate and fix the issue).

No Shops in My Area?

Hi Dominique,


It is possible that there are no shops currently available in your area, but you can open a support ticket for iSecretShop and send your shopper ID, so it can be checked and you'll know for sure.

There's one more thing you can try - you can set the search distance filter (in the upper-left corner of the Available Shops page, above the map) to 50 or 100 miles, and click the search button (a small magnifying glass symbol in that same row) - that will show you the available shops in the wider area around you.

iSecretShop is a software company and a "job board" for shops, and the MSPs are the ones paying you for the shops that you do.


Regarding PayPal, I'd just like to add that it's necessary for you to enter your PayPal email address in your profile information on iSecretShop. To do that, simply log in to iSecretShop (website, app or mobile site), click Extended Profile. Once in, scroll until you see the field called "PayPal Email," enter the correct information and Save.

And you're welcome Nicole :) If you are constantly getting email for locations far away from your home address, go to Update Profile on iSecretShop and check to make sure that the right address is listed (that you didn't enter a wrong digit/letter somewhere when listing your address, or that something isn't what it shouldn't be, etc.)


Options for advanced automation and tailoring those emails to each individual shopper are always being worked on - the goal of MSPs, schedulers, and iSecretShop as a platform is always to deliver most relevant offers to shoppers, to avoid "spamming" people and offering shops that are far away and/or cannot be done for whatever reason, to make the entire experience of finding and doing shops as easy and convenient as possible for shoppers.

However, it is not uncommon that those emails are sent to hundreds or thousands of shoppers at once - all those whose listed address is in the area of available shops, so making calculations for specific travel distance, routes, etc. - that would put a massive strain on a system with nearly a million users such as iSecretShop, where two dozen MSPs are constantly reaching out to shoppers in this manner.


Anyways, things are looking up, improvements are made all the time, and if you do have those situations of receiving ofers for shops far away, open up a support ticket and let iSecretShop know. :)

Hi Tara,


When your requests for shops are declined, you do not loose any points whatsoever.

When your shops (shop reports) are declined (those that were already assigned to you, and/or done), then you lose points.


Points are lost only (and automatically) after a shop has been assigned to you. It happens every time a shop is canceled or declined, for whatever reason. If an MSP cancels the shop before you had the chance to complete it, or something happens that prevents you from doing the shop, the MSPs can restore your lost points.


You can track the progress of your Reputation badge level by clicking on badges, and the progress bar will show you how close you are to the next level. You can also open a support ticket for iSecretShop, to have your points records looked at, so you'll know if you have (and when) lost any points recently.

Adult stores

Hi Micheal,


The only one that I know for sure has had Adult Store shops is Measure CP, but there could be others as well. And WOW HeatherAnnie, I've only now noticed your badges - you've done soooo many different shops, how cool is that :)
