That does seem odd - but at the end of the day, the MSPs are hired by their clients, and those clients can have very particular expectations regarding the information they receive - they may want additional info or clarification on something, they may have contradicting statements from the staff and need more details, etc. Did they say what the reason was for declining your shops?
Hi Deborah,
At the bottom of every system generated email that you get from iSecretShop, there should be a link you can click, to manage your contact preferences. From there, you can unsubscribe from specific email, from all of them, or cancel your account completely.
Alternatively, you can open a support ticket to iSecretShop, and ask for your account to be deleted.
Hi Shaun,
You can find some on www.iSSprep.com. There are also courses available on the MSPA page, although I'm not sure if they're free. You may also want to look on the Mystery Shopping Forum, as there can be useful links and information there.
Hi Deborah,
You can try expanding the search distance on the Available Shops page to 50 or 100 miles - that will show you shops in the wider area around you. You can also try looking on the Web & Telephone shops page, since shops posted there can be done from home.
Cheers!
Hi Deb,
There is no way for the MSP or their clients to "avoid paying" for a shop - due to the way the iSecretShop system is designed. The shop either gets approved (and the shopper paid) and they can use the data from it, or it is declined - and if it's declined, they do not have access to it in their reports and can't use any of the data.
If they declined the shop, they did so knowing they'd be at a loss - iSecretShop bills MSPs for every shop they post, plus they have to pay the schedulers and editors to find a new shopper and edit the new shop report...It's really not in their interest to decline, so they only do that when they have no other choice.
I'm not familiar with the specific circumstances of the shop, but if the location address that was listed on iSecretShop does not match the actual address or address on the receipt, I think should email the MSP (again) and let them know, and inquire about the possibility of having your points restored, and perhaps even getting compensated (again, I'm not sure about how things are with that shop, but it doesn't hurt to try).
