Welcome, Matthew! Many people use mystery shopping as their primary source of income, many as a part-time hobby, and many only do a few shops from time to time - it's definitely possible to make it work either way :)
Hi Linda, welcome!
You can find a collection of some useful advice on the following thread: https://www.secretshopforum.com/thread/1/2/94/pro-tips-for-those-who-want-to-be-the-best-shoppers#post528
I hope this helps!
Hi Nathan,
There are two ways you can do this - the first is to click on the Remove link at the bottom of a notification email sent to you by iSecretShop (any system-generated email should do, such as the ones about Available Opportunities), and then click the appropriate link at the bottom of the page to delete your account,
The second is to open a support ticket and request that your account be deleted, and the support team will delete it.
Please note that there are many different MSPs on iSecretShop, each with its own payment schedule, and many (most) of them make the payments in much less time than 2 months. Just something to consider.
Hi Linda,
If the shops have specific area code requirements, using an app to alter your number/area code can (and I'd say it's likely to) result in a decline, and possibly a restriction from performing those shops again. In addition, if the shops are the "recorded phone call" kind, the iSecretShop platform uses an integrated recording system, so a third-party app would probably not even work.
My suggestion would be to reach out to the Mystery Shopping Provider that posts those shops, and ask if you could get them despite not being in the required area code. If their schedulers agree, great, if not, you can look up other shops.
Cheers!
If you received an email about available shops near you and when you logged in, you were unable to see the shops referenced in the email, there are several possible reasons. The two most likely are:
1) The shop(s) may have already been assigned to other shoppers, and...
2) The shops may have a requirement that you do not meet, for example, being a specific age, or having a specific area code, etc.
When the system sends out Available Shops emails, it does not know anything about you other than your location - so it says, "Hi, these shops are currently available near you!" But when you log in, the system knows who you are, your age, etc. and, by design, it hides from you any shops you are ineligible for.
Hi Andrea,
All you have to do is go to your Extended Profile page on iSecretShop and update your PayPal email address there, in the field called "PayPal email".
That's some good advice! You can find more here: https://www.secretshopforum.com/thread/1/2/94/pro-tips-for-those-who-want-to-be-the-best-shoppers
Hello,
You can find available shops on the Available Shops page, and on the Web & Telephone Shops page.
