Hi Emily,
The right thing to do there is to contact the schedulers and let them know - photos like those serve as proof that you were there at the time of the shop, so if you took that photo at any other time, the editors would know (the system automatically detects when a photo was taken) and your shop might get declined if the editors don't have proof you were there at the time of the shop.
So, in short, it wouldn't be acceptable to upload a photo from another visit to that same location - it has to be from the time of your shop.
Thanks for asking, and good luck!
Hi Kevin,
You can find all shops in your immediate area on the Available Shops page on iSecretShop, from all MSPs.
If you want to see more shops, you can set the search distance filter (in the upper-left corner of the Available Shops page, above the map) to 50 or 100 miles, and click the search button (a small magnifying glass symbol in that same row) - that will show you the available shops in the wider area around you.
As for the advice, I suggest checking out this thread, there's a bunch of useful stuff there:

Cheers!
Yeah, Excel and OneNote are useful, but I'd personally use them only if I had a ton of shops - the app itself is more than sufficient for several at a time - everything is already there, so I tend not to complicate with other programs if I don't have to :)
Hello!
Error Loading Location is an error you get on the app or mobile web. This happens when you do not have 'location services turned on' or when you do not allow the app (or mobile browser) to use location services.
You will frequently see this error because the app uses your location to find available shops, geotag your assignments etc.
To fix this on iOS - go to Settings->Privacy Settings ->Location Services. Make sure Location Services is on and turned on for iSecretShop.
I hope this helps!
Hi Falestin,
Compensation is the fixed amount that shoppers are paid for successfully completing a shop.
Reimbursement is the maximum amount up to which your expenses on a shop will be reimbursed after you have completed it.
So for example, if a shop offers a $50 compensation and up to $40 reimbursement, and you complete it and spend $32 - you would be paid $50 plus $32 to cover your expenses. If you spend over $40, you would receive $50 + $40.
Some shops only have a compensation fee, some have only reimbursement, and some have both.
I hope this helps answer your question!
Hi Danielle,
All shops have to be assigned to you prior to doing them. When you request them in the system, the schedulers review requests and assign shops as they deem appropriate.
If you are talking about cellphone shops (where you physically go into a cellphone store), those are found and requested on the Available Shops page, and if you are taking about the phone shops that you can do from your home by making a phone call, those can be found on the Web and Telephone shops page, and requested there.
You can try contacting the schedulers once you have requested a shop, to ask if they would assign the shop to you.
Good luck!
Yes, they should be fine to complete from Canada, just check the shop Guidelines to see if it's allowed in the case of the specific shop, and you can always contact the MSP that posted the shop and ask, just to be sure.
Cheers!
