How to do the web and phone shops

Hi,

You can check all the shops in your area on the Available Shops page. If you want to see more, change the search radius (the setting is in the upper-left corner of the page, above the map) to 50 or 100 miles, and click the search button - it will show a lot more shops.

I hope this helps!

How to do the web and phone shops

Hi Kendra,

You don't need any special equipment - simply use the iSecretShop recording system - dial the provided number, then type in the Shop ID number when prompted, and the location you're shopping will then be dialed, and that phone call recorded. Also, the recording will be automatically uploaded in your shop report, so you don't have to worry about that either :)

How to do the web and phone shops

Hi Patrick,

Canadian contractors absolutely can complete US-based telephone shops IF the MSP posting the shop allows them to. So - technically yes, but it depends on the project, so you would have to check with the MSP.

Regarding the recorded telephony calls - the system has US and non-US numbers for recorded calls - they are listed in the guidelines of telephone shops.

As for the points, the number of points is the same as for all other shops - it's 20 points.

Payments

Every MSP has different payment policies, but it's usually several weeks before the payments are finalized. If you want to know the exact date, simply contact the MSP that posted the shop, and they'll let you know. :)

Listening to phone shops

Hi Lori,

You absolutely can - those have no geographical restrictions whatsoever.

Distance settings

Wassim,

You're completely right, and thank you for the suggestion! I have actually just opened a request for the development team to look into adding that functionality to the app/mobile site in the future!

Thank you again!

WaWa needs more variety

Hi guys,

I do recommend that you send that feedback to the MSP in charge of Wawa shops, as I'm sure they'll appreciate it, and might contact Wawa as their client to let them know - ultimately, it could lead to better, more diverse shops for everyone!

Frustrated with vague instructions

The best idea in general is (besides reading and following the guidelines, of course) to always contact the MSP that posted the shop straight away, for every single thing that might confuse you, or give you a dilemma, or sound ambiguous, etc. They know their shops best, their schedulers/editors will clear up all the confusion, and you can always refer to the correspondence with them if your shop is declined or returned, etc. If you follow their instructions, you can't go wrong there. :)

Cancelled shop due to discrepancies

Hi Diane,

Contacting the schedulers is always the best idea - they can let you know when the shop can or cannot be done, they can reschedule your shop if needed, or in some cases, cancel it without a penalty to your points.

Basically, you can find their info on a few different places - just look for the MSP that posted the shop, and use that contact info. The MSP's contact information is listed everywhere you see information about the shop - on the instructions, email notifications, etc.

If you can't find who the MSP is, or what their contact info is, you can always open a support ticket in iSecretShop and ask, and you should receive a response pretty quickly.

I hope this helps!

Badge Categories ? and suggestion

Hey Adrian,

Wassim is correct - the MSPs are the ones that are responsible for the type of badge that their shops will grant.

For now, every shop can only grant one badge category, and it's the one that most closely depicts the type of shop/industry in question. A good example are the shops you mentioned - they are indeed phone shops, but are even more "specialized" then that, as Healthcare more closely represents the type of shops you did. This literally means that when schedulers are choosing who to give these shops to, they will favor you and other shoppers with a Healthcare badge, over others who just did various other phone shops that are unrelated to healthcare in any way, as you will be deemed more experienced in that field.

Another example would be adult products stores - shops at those locations are indeed retail shops, but instead of giving you a generic Retail badge that you would earn at any regular retail shop, they will give you the Adult badge, and the schedulers will know you've had experience with those, making it more likely you'll get them in the future when you request them.

There are of course other badges, as Wassim mentioned, that are earned in other ways - Forum Contributor for posting on this forum, Reputation which increases automatically as your shopper score increases (and every level also increases your self-assigned limit), Legacy which shows how long have you been a mystery shopper on iSecretShop...and there are badges that editors grant as they deem appropriate, such as Reliability, Grammarian, and others. Those are not earned very often, but will really make you stand out and are there to reward the shoppers that really put in the effort in their shops.

I hope this clears things up a bit!
