RESOLVED: Home phone must be a string

Hello,

My assumption here would be the same as Tara's. However, if updating your profile picture was the only change you were trying to make, and you got that error message, I definitely suggest opening a support ticket to let the developers know. Make sure to provide details - which device are you using, describe the exact steps you are taking, at which point does the error message pop up, and include a screenshot of it as well. That will help the support team solve the issue without having to reach back out to you asking for more information.

Cheers!

New feature - GET VERIFIED!

MFJohnston - the "Age and ID Verification" feature is entirely optional, and there will of course always be shops (a majority I assume) in the foreseeable future that do not have this requirement. I'm not sure how many clients have already begun utilizing this feature, but it's safe to assume that you will still be able to do the shops that you did - especially if you have a long-standing tradition of completing them reliably, and a reputation as a reliable shopper with the MSPs that post them.

Keep in mind that this will not be used by all clients/MSPs as a necessary requirement, some will choose to use it as a preference - many shops will not require you to be Age & ID Verified, but the schedulers may still prefer to give these shops to shoppers that are Age & ID Verified, over those that aren't.

In the hypothetical case that some of the shops which you used to complete get updated to have this as a scheduling requirement, and you are not Age & ID Verified, you wouldn't be seeing them on the Available Shops page anymore, but the schedulers still technically have the ability to assign them to you manually, so you'd have to rely on regular communication with them.

Norm - The Age & Identity verification process is a one-time check, and if you weren't automatically verified, your profile was then manually reviewed. If Verification is possible, you get verified manually, and if not (if there are too many mismatches), nothing bad happens - as a courtesy, iSS has so far refunded shoppers that don't get verified. I would suggest opening a support ticket to iSecretShop to inquire about the specific circumstances of your case.

Shopper score

Hi James,

if you are referring to your own personal shopper score, that number is not displayed anywhere - instead, it is reflected in your Reputation badge level, and it's progress towards the next level. Simply put, you increase it's level by gaining shopper points, which is done by successfully completing shops (every shop done gives you a fixed amount of points), by completing courses on iSSprep, and by doing Opinion Polls on iSecretShop.

I hope this answers your question!

Phone app for multiple phone numbers

Hi Wendy,

I remember Wassim mentioning some useful free software on this thread: https://www.secretshopforum.com/thread/1/2/66/useful-free-software-for-mystery-shopping#post356

Under number 7 is the Sudo app - he said that it allows you 9 free phone numbers and identities that you can use to give while doing assignments, although I haven't tried it myself. Just keep in mind that some shops do require you to leave your actual, real phone number and other info :)

Cheers!

Typo in the SecretShopForum.

Hi Monique! What exactly are you having problems with? Updating your profile info on the forum?

Obvious Mystery Shopper

Well, I guess it all depends on how well can a shopper "act it out" and make the situation sound believable. Although I do think that if multiple shoppers come to the same store in the same month and present the same (rare) scenario, it can get a bit suspicious - but MSPs keep this in mind when setting up scheduling rules and limitations, to make sure the shopper's aren't revealed.

Hello,

There is a special category of shops called "Web and Telephone shops" - those shops can be done from home, but I advise contacting the MSPs that post them, to inquire about the specifics oh the plausibility of completing them in your country.

Thank you!

How long does it take to get verified?

Hi Beverly,

It all depends on the specific shop you requested, the time of the week or month when it was requested, if you've also requested it via the Available Shops page or not, etc.

The best way to ensure you increase your chances of getting your request approved, and that ti happens soon, is to do 2 things:

  1. Request the shop via the Available Shops page, and request it for the soonest available date.
  2. Email the MSP to let them know you've requested it. Note - if you email individual schedulers (like afarrell@itouchinsight.com), there is a chance that they won't be at the office. So the best way to contact them is to use the official contact information. In this case, it would be:

Intouch Insight | contractorsupport@intouchinsight.com | 800-734-5213 or 800-461-2873

I hope this helps!
