Thanks for that Christopher. I use Google and this will definitely come in handy for the phone and web shops.
Hi there, also shops of this nature usually require a tip. I have seen that listed numerous times (i.e. it is required to leave a tip of 15%, $3.00, etc). Hope this helps too.
Arlene, also when you contact the MSP for the shop(s) you've done, be sure to ask specific questions, so you get directed and informative feedback. Hope that helps too,
Hi Davi,
Each company or MSP (as they are more commonly called) has specific requirements for W9s, 1099s, etc. You, and I, are Independent Contractors (IC), so we are not employees of any MSP or iSS, therefore no W2s will be issued. Since tax reporting is not generally required until you make $600 or more per year per employer (i.e. MSP in this case), you don't have to be too concerned.
However, all of the relevant information, including paperwork and tax items, are found in the contract you signed with each MSP. Read through those and then if you have additional questions contact the MSP directly, but read the contract first, most important.
Hope that is some help. Thanks for reading.
Yes, those shops are very popular. But keep plugging along. As Tara_NJ says, the earlier the better on requests.
Yes, I too have seen those "odd" points before on weekly leadership boards. I am also curious.
As an added advice and incentive, I would also make it a point to say to contact the MSP on any issue (!) for each and every shop for each and every MSP you are assigned. Any question, comment, or even suggestion on how to proceed. Most shop instructions say these items and things in some form or another.
Hope that also helps everyone.
The bell alerts should also come to you in your email from the scheduler.
Hello Crystale, there are such things but iSecretShop does not participate in that. All shops via iSS are legitimate and trustworthy. And they are only available on the iSS portal, not thru snail mail, etc. Whatever the shop instructions say about pay and compensation you will definitely receive if your shop is approved by the MSP.
Those other things you are speaking of are not part of iSS, and would probably be a scam and/or illegal, so if you get any of those, stay away from them. Best advice that can be offered.
Hi Jody, sorry to read about your troubles. I have never had any problems editing any form or report for shops I have completed. In my mind, there could be an issue with the website at the time you are completing the report, or if using the mobile app, perhaps with your phone location, i.e. wifi reception.
Otherwise, your report cannot be edited once submitted for approval. You can un-finalize for a short time if you forgot something or need to include an item, but once it goes to "in review" status, its a done deal. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
