In these kind of jobs, it is especially good if you just blend in. The advice given above is good for all shoppers. The idea is for the client to stand out, not at shoppers. And as always, the MSP is the main source of any and all information about their posted shops.
Ditto. Just to be sure to keep accurate records, and in separate categories. Otherwise, somebody somewhere might get the idea that your double dipping when filing your taxes.
Each country has its own taxation laws and ways of processing taxes. If you're in Canada, it would be suggested to consult a tax attorney in Canada, and vice versa if you are in the United States. If you are a shopper in both countries, solicit attorneys in both countries. Can't hurt, as long as there's a free consultation. In my opinion, hope this helps.
That map that's really come in handy often times, especially if you're a new shopper. I remember those days.
MSP's can use a wide range of criteria when they assign their shops to specific badges. As indicated in this thread, it is always best to go to the MSP and find out specifically from them.
Also, if you click on each specific badge you will get additional information. For the general badges, it will just give you a positive inspirational phrase. Four of the shop specific badges, when you click on them, you will see a list of the specific shops you have completed in that category. And if you have the globetrotter badge, you can actually see how many shops you've done in your shopper lifetime. What's up information embedded in them their badges. Happy shopping
Yep, sometimes it doesn't pay to stand out or stand in. But it does make for an interesting shop.
Some shops are called revealed shops, meaning that you go in and tell them you are a shopper. Sometimes, you get the shops which is really interesting and revealing. But hey, at least you get to try a new job in a view only do it once, and even earn a new badge and points.
Getting techno savvy before mystery shopping is very helpful. So much relies on technology anymore. Glad that everyone is helping each other in this post. Even I learned something. Thank you
Yeah, pretending another company if you can get away with it. In the end with mystery shopping, it's always best to go to the source. Either the MSP or ISS. In my opinion.
